Ben Balistreri. Mr. Balistreri has been a character designer and storyboard artist in the animation industry for the past eleven years. He started at Disney TV working as a character designer on Lady and the Tramp 2, Lion King 1 and 1/2 and many others. Since then he's done freelance work on the Balto sequels for Universal Studios, worked as the design supervisor on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends at Cartoon Network, and is currently a story artist on the up-coming feature film How to Train your Dragon at Dreamworks Animation. He recently won an Emmy Award for his designs on Foster's and has been nominated for six Annie Awards. Ben is also creator of Seaweed and the Cure for Mildew, a graphic novel which tells the tale of a pirate pelican named Seaweed and his first mate Poisson (a sardine).
