permalinkRight now my main server is Spirestone (PvP horde) and I just started an RP draenei char on Ravenholte (RPPvP). I have inactive 60's on Cenarian Circle and Hyjal though, both alliance.

My friends and I rolled Horde on Bleeding Hollow (aka, /bh/) recently. My account was inactive for quite a while, and I decided to re-up and reroll warrior (I used to be a Pally player). We've got a guild that we're all in called Nuclear Launch Detected. One of my friends is the guild leader; he's got 4/5 (almost 5/5) Gladiator on his 70 warrior. He's also a Master Axesmith. Cookie-cutter PVP build. He and another friend of mine (70 pally, 5/5 Gladiator) do arena together a lot.
My warrior on there is only 21; you can /w me at Freiheit.
I've also got a 19 twink on Alliance-side Stormscale that I play sometimes. If you're ever getting you're face stomped in WSG by a 19 warrior named Flagman and you're in the same battlegroup as Stormscale, that's me.

What's the draw about these 19 twinks? I was never much for pvp so I never understood the whole concept of what people get out of it.

At 70 you can have awesome gear and kick other people's asses in some exciting PVP. Downside is that this requires the investiture of lots of time to first get to 70 and then acquire all those phat lewts.
With a 19 twink, you're at the top of the bracket (obviously) and there's a lot of good (for the level) gear out there that's very easily obtainable. The time you have to spend leveling and gearing the character is a miniscule amount compared to the amount of time you will spend leveling to 70 (nevermind getting geared up).
You can twink with other levels as well, generally when you're at the top of the bracket; 19, 29, 39, 49, etc. The concept is the same; find a bracket and become as well geared as possible in that bracket. This is easier and requires less time the lower the character is, though it's obviously not very feasible with characters below level 19.
The idea of a furry WoW guild is neither original nor innovative. As I remember, there was actually an announcement of some sort or another at last year's AC (or was it the one before) about a furry guild forming on one server or another. I know that fans of the Brothers Grinn and Supermegatopia have a guild on another server.
Beyond the fact that most people don't want to abandon their own high level characters, they also tend to have friends (either online or real life) who play on the servers they are currently on and would not want to switch to play with a bunch of strangers who just happen to share one interest with them.
There's also the wee bit about furries being drama epicenters; regular guilds have quite enough drama as it is without cramming a whole lot of furries into one. You'll have folks crying about being fursecuted because they didn't get the amount of DKP they thought they should get or something inane like that.

Roger that. I had a feeling that twinking at 19 was that simple. Just thought there might have been something special behind it besides the pure fun of it.
And not knowing any furries irl, I didn't know about the drama epicenter bit. I totally understand though.
Thanks for filling me in.

Just throwing this out there, but what do yall think about spreading word to all furries of wow to unite on a single server and create a guild? Nothing serious or anything, just knowing that all members of the guild are furries is enough. I don't know exactly how we can go about this but if we get a good amount of people to agree we could vote for a server, alliance or horde, a guild name, and go from there.
Good idea? Bad idea? Your thoughts.

The Grimtotem Exiles: 95%+ Furry Guild on Scarlet Crusade, Horde Side.
Leader: FelArrow, Tauren Hunter
Guild Particulars:
Tauren/Blood Elf only
Heavy RP (It is a RP Server, after all, and this is a specialty Guild, not some end-game hardcore BS) which means OOC is tolerated in the Guild channel, but you're expected to be IC in the Group channels for the most part, and always IC in /say and /emote.
We have a TS Server and we have a Tabard
Transfers from other servers welcome. Anyone can Xfer to Scarlet Crusade.
Being Furry Recommended, not required
Being Gay Recommended, not required
Contacts for joining information: FelArrow (Ruarc na-Grimtotem), Inque (Diarmaid (Dermitt) na-Grimtotem), Vrondi (Vron d'Ignitus Fuget Bronzewing), or practically anyone else who happens to be on from the Grimtotems. They can direct you to someone on who happens to have invite authorization.
Direct all questions to me in-game, please. I can friend you there and help you get established.
Guild Background: Roughly 5 years ago the Scourge, working thru intermediaries amongst the Razorfen Quilboar, infiltrated the Grimtotem Clan in Thousand Needles and usurped authority from Magatha Grimtotem while she was in Thunder Bluff on a diplomatic mission. With the promise of vast power, and a restoration of their reputation as warriors and a force to be reckoned with, the Grimtotem fell under the sway of the Scourge and began to prey on the Tauren Clans they had once sworn to protect. Worse, they started attacking fellow Horde members without provocation.
A small band (at first, but we're growing) of Grimtotem youth turned their backs on these new ways and exiled themselves from their clan, forming a new branch of teh Clan devoted to restoring Magatha to her rightful place as the head of the Grimtotem Clan. Lead by an idealistic youth named Ruarc na-Grimtotem (the prefix na- signifies the break from the main Grimtotem clan), a distant relative of his Great Aunt Magatha, they have allied themselves with the recent additions to the Horde, the Blood Elves, who have felt what its like to have their homelands permanently tainted by the Scourge. They seek to learn from the Blood Elves everything that happened and find a way to not only prevent it from occuring in their own lands, but to help their new allies reverse the corruption with their Druidic and Shamanistic magics. The Blood Elves have agreed to send a small contingent of youthful observers to aid the Grimtotem Exiles in this endeavor, not wanting to waste too many precious resources what might be a fruitless enterprise. The Blood Elves benefit from the Tauren strength (and massively beefy bodies) and the Tauren gain access to magical assets they do not have themselves.
Note: We're considering opening up the guild to Orcs, too, but that isn't set in stone, yet. After all, their homeworld was destroyed by the Burning Legion, but Ruarc (FelArrow) doesn't know about this, yet. He's only early 30s-ish.

I still have some Alliance alts on Moon Guard.
Drakkon, Jerodan, and Keltin are all there. All three are Draenei. Hunter, mage and Shaman, I believe.
I play on Scarlet Crusade mostly now. The Guild is up to 33 members, 30-31 of which are furries.

There's "Order of the Claws", "Blue Forge Fire", and "Altered Beasts" on Bloodhoof, Horde side. Dunno about the alliance side, since about all I see of them is often what I pick out of my teeth after a Crossroads raid.
There's a few "old-timers" from "Fellowship of the Huskie" that joined up with "The NERVous Horde" after the Huskies disbanded sometime last year.
I currently spending quite the bit of time on Meena - 70 Feral druid that's not afraid to wear healpants, and Ergha, 68 Orc Hunter with her trusty tankycat.

I am looking for an Alliance furry guild. One that's not too heavy with the RP stuff, and actually runs instances and is serious about actually doing the full range of content. Don't care what server, I'll have to transfer anyway.
