Couldn't think of to word it any other way and I'm in a rush.

Basically what I'm getting at is that this year I'm doing a partial fursuit. The majorit of it is going to be covered, even the head. I was originally going to have the head exposed, but since I'm not good at sewing fursuits, I just couldn't wrap my head around what to do with what goes on my cranium, so I covered it up.

But to give it some sort of furriness, I decided to go with leaving the forearms uncovered, but recently ran into a huge snag and my paws turned out really crappy and I'm out of material. It turned out this way because I messed up on the fingers. So what I was thinking of doing was just making furry sleeves for the forearms and then covering my hands up with gloves, just to off set buying fabric and the time restraint that I have between now and when I go on vacation on the 27th.

So what it boils down to is that a little over 90% of my partial fursuit is going to be clothing with less than 10% of it actually showing any fur, which should be a couple of furry slip on forearm sleeves, and a stubby tail (it's a doberman costume)sticking out of the back of my pants.

Will I be shunned by or not seen as a "real fursuiter" at the con? Sticking out tongue

But seriously though, does anyone think 90% non fur is too much?

I'm still working on the paws and gonna keep trying for AC because I really _do_ want to have paws, but I'm just worried that I'll be covering up too much and furs'll be like "Uh... that's not really much of a fursuit".

Relax!

If anyone thinks negatively of your setup, they suck and seriously don't get it. I mean come on, it's not a cop out, its a costume after all.

Seriously, us suit folks are really nice and very open, I promise! As long as you put effort into playing a character, dressing as it, etc, you're gold kid.

I think you'll also find there are a number of panels for folks who have experienced problems in building their own suits, and want to talk with others about contruction methods.

No worries at all! Everyone has to start someplace!
