Ok, at this moment I've volunteered to drive two furs from my hometown. However... I just picked up a job in the last 12 hours and there is a strong possibility that I cannot attend this year. Now if I can't go these two furs are busbait and I will not allow this to happen. I took the bus last year into Pittsburgh for AC and it was HELL. So anyone driving along I-70 east or can make the detour? I know it's kinda late to be arranging a ride but like I said there's a very good posibility (about 90%) that my plans are shot to hell.

You might consider Amtrak if no ride materializes, and you consider the bus to not be an option.

The Capitol Limited line stops in Pittsburgh, and has the following stops in Ohio:
Alliance
Cleveland
Elyria
Sandusky
Toledo

If the location they're starting from is not any of those cities, they may be able to catch a shuttle train TO one of those cities, and proceed to change to the Capitol Limited line.

In addition to the above cities, Amtrak serves the following cities in Ohio:
Bryan
Cincinnati (2 locations)

That may be of use to you.
(Or it may not, but at least it was free advice.)

I think I've already spoken to you via email, but I wanted to re-post here... My friend Bakari and I are coming from Indy and will be going along I-70, so picking up two more furs wouldn't be a problem. I just need to check with the guy that was wanting to ship some fursuit bits and see if I'll need to be playing cargo-hauler too. ^^;;

if I can I'd like someone to delete this thread because I managed to secure the weekend off to attend so I'm back in the driver's seat. Thanks to everyone who offered to help and I'll keep you all in mind if somethign should happen between now and... what the next 2 weeks.

I hate deleting threads, because then folks wonder where the thread has gone.

But you should be able to edit your own post -- look for a tab that says "edit" at the top of the post. Feel free to edit the post to reflect the fact that you can attend now.

We'll see you there.

OK I'm leaving from Columbus, OH on the 5th fairly early (talking about 6-7am) and if anyone would like to catch a ride with me, I'm OK with it.
I have a van, so if you suit up, I should have room for it, especially since I'm not a heavy packer.
