Just tossing this out into the open before I stick my head out to get blown off by the furry snipers. Anyone interested in a jam session? I'm gonna bring my electric bass and maybe my amp. Have a drink make some music?

I'm not too sure about this. Jam sessions by their very nature tend to be noisy. We don't really have anywhere in the hotel or the convention center where noise can be made without bothering someone, and it certainly is not going to go over well in a hotel room.

Perhaps outside somewhere, but the first noise complaint that gets filed and you'll be shoo'd away.

Assuming it'd be somewhere where people wouldn't complain about the noise, I'd love to, but might not have the space in the car for a case and amp. That, and I don't actually know my roommates and therefor cannot judge what could happen to a Les Paul left alone in a hotel room.

I mostly play rhythm in drop D or C, lots of Helmet, Sabbath, Type O Negative.

well going on the fact there's not alot of outlets anywhere in the cnvention hall it woud seriously limit the noise, unsles I happen to find one in a halway. I do respect the noise factor so should anything happen it wouldn't be so loud and probably not in a hotel room. I mean really, I'm cold bloded I'd rather not sleep out in my car

You could always have a room party jam session.

I don't know how noisy jam sessions are, but noise complaints from other guests may be a concern.

I'm pretty sure they only allow acoustic instruments.
