Hello; I have a table in the Dealer's Room, but have a question about assistants. On the application it said we did not have to identify assistants right away; we could do that later (but it didn't say exactly when). At the time the people that were going to help me didn't want to register right then, so I didn't identify them.

As it turns out they are going to register at the convention. Is this a problem if I want to have them be assistants? I do not know if there is some sort of special badge addon like at other cons for assistants...if there is, when I check in at the Dealer's room can I just tell them the names of my intended assistants? Do they need to be there with me?

I apologize if the answer is already somewhere; I could not find it. Thanks!

The answer is here.

Please note: For a variety of reasons, we cannot register dealers at the door. All dealer members and helpers must be pre-registered. If you are going to have a helper but do not yet know who it will be, please do not send payment yet. You can add helpers up until pre-registration closes on June 15.

This does not mean that your friends can't help you out at the table. It only means they cannot be issued dealer badges or ribbons (required for entrance to the room during setup or teardown).

Thank you for the response. I did not see it; I did not expect something about assistant registration to be in a section about 'How to ship items' and 'Driving directions". Sticking out tongue

And I just needed them to be at my table while I'm selling things in case I need to take a break, so everything should be fine. I assumed that if you did not have 'helper' status then you couldn't be behind the table at all (a lot of alleys and dealer rooms at conventions have rules about that).
