Hi guys,
I can't get to this year's Anthrocon, but I'm already gearing up for next years! I REALLY want a dealer's table next year (probably will share it with someone else who's had one for the past few years) and the whole PA Tax thing REALLY confuses me. How does it work for people coming in from another country?

I'm in the UK, do I still have to purchase a PA Sales Tax license? How does that work?

Sorry to be all questions and no answers! This year's con hasn't even happened yet and I'm already looking forward to next year Laughing out loud

Yes, it works the same way. You send in an application for a Pennsylvania sales tax license, and after a short (or in some cases, annoyingly lengthy) time a certificate will be given to you.

You need to collect 7% above the purchase price for each item sold and keep it aside. After the convention, you go to a convenient web site that will ask how much you made on sales, and will then ask you to remit 7% of that amount (6% to the state and 1% to the city). Then you need only send the money in. The trick is that it has to be in U.S. dollars.

Thank you so much for a fast response! I'll definitely look into that, then. If the money can be paid via card I'm sure the conversion won't be hard at all!

Wonderful news. Again, many thanks. Have a great con!

Actually, as I recall, they have multiple options for payment, and I believe that a credit card is included in that.
