I was wondering what time registration was open til on Thursday night. Pittsburg is only about a 2 hr drive from where I work and I get off of work at 10 PM. I want to go to the Radio Furs thing at noon and I'd rather come Thursday night then wake up on Friday at probably 8 or earlier to make sure I beat the traffic and have time to register. |

If only there was a link on the left side of the screen under "Events" and "Schedule" that said "Hours" - that would be a great place to put the answer to this oft-asked question!

I wanted to put it at the very top, right under the "L" of "Looking," but Giza said no. He has, however, added it to the menu bar under "events." Who's a good cat, then?
To answer the question, though, Registration closes Thursday night at 10 PM. It re-opens on Friday morning, however (at 10 AM, or as soon as we can get our hard-working registration folks out of bed), so you can simply pick up your badge the following morning.

Ahem.
The problem with adding all sorts of items to that menu in the upper right of the screen is that it does not scale. Remember when Amazon.com used to have like 10 tabs across the top of the screen? Wonder why they stopped doing that?

And to answer your question more directly, both pre and new registration will be closed by the midnight arrival time you estimate.
We tried midnight registration one year, and had fairly low though appreciative turnout. We're not doing it this year due to Independence Day and its effect on estimated arrivals.

I also had a question about register times for Thursday... but this is when they open... do they really open at 3pm? I would never figure any con to do that... and I don't know a single one that does. >>
If you can tell me this answer as soon as possible, (before I leave the hotel in the morning, would obviously be preferred...) would be appreciated. :3

Sorry to not respond before the con began' but yes, on Thursday registration opens at 3pm, because no convention events begin before 8pm that day, and those are modest social events. The true beginning of the con is on Friday, when registration opens at 10am.
