For those folks who want to help out on Wednesday, here's the scoop:

Between 1:00 and 1:30, we will need people to report to the CRAWFORD ROOM on the 3rd floor of the Westin. This is where Con Ops will be. An Anthrocon staff member will be there to coordinate. We will need approximately 8 people. Hopefully we can find 2 people with cars who can take an additional 3 each. If you are local to the area, have a car, and famliar with the Etna area, please identify yourself to the staffer on duty! Our 8 stalwart volunteers will head up to the StoreXPress in Etna, north of Pittsburgh. The web site is http://www.storexpress.com. Conveniently enough, the facility on the home page is ours so you can see what it looks like. Click "Locations," and then look for ETNA/SHARPSBURGH. A map can be found at http://www.storexpress.com/etna-sharpsburg.html. You can also click on the link for Mapquest Directions, and then key in a starting point of "1000 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222."

We'll have directions available on site.
In brief, you'll go down Penn Avenue to 9th Street and turn right.
Cross the river on the 9th Street bridge, and turn right on E. General Robinson Street.
Merge onto PA-28 north (toward I-279/Chestnut St/E Ohio St/Etna
Follow 28 north for about 4.2 miles.
Take exit 5A for the RD Fleming Bridge and Sharpsburg.
After 0.1 mile, turn right onto Poplar St.
After 0.1 mile, make a slight left onto Hafner Ave. You will see the storage facility, a big green and white building sort of nestled under the highway bridge.
If you get lost, you can call the facility at 412-278-LOCK (5625)

We expect the truck to be there by 2 PM. If it is not -- well, swap stories until we arrive!

If you cannot make it by 1:30, or if we've got more than enough volunteers, don't dispair! There will be plenty to do when the truck gets back (we anticipate about 3:30). Some of its cargo will be offloaded at the Westin Hotel and will need to be taken to Con Ops.
Then, a bit later, we'll need to start putting the registration packets together. Whee, fun!
