We are pleased to announce that the Programming Schedule for Anthrocon 2013 has been finalized!

We will provide you with copies of this information in a handy pocket-sized booklet when you register and/or pick up your badge at the convention; however, we like to provide this information to you in advance so that you can see what events are being offered and that you may begin planning your own convention itinerary.

Be aware that this schedule is subject to change due to availability of panelists and other circumstances outside of our control. Remember, "The best laid plans of mice and men only prove that the men should have left the planning to the mice," or something like that. We are working on preparing big poster-sized versions of the schedule that we will post at stratetic locations around the convention and which we will keep updated with any last-minute changes. You may also refer to the monitors at the Westin for any changes, news, or updates as they are received. Important updates will also be posted on our Twitter Feed (@Anthrocon).

Electronic Formats

This year, we are pleased to offer the schedule online, in several formats:

Mobile Devices

Have a mobile device? A mobile copy of our schedule can be accessed via MyConbook by pointing your browser to http://m.anthrocon.org/.

Online

Here's an online copy of our schedule:

I love that I can download the pdf and import it into my iBooks so I can have it on my iPhone and iPad!

(One side note, which I suspect KP already knows - I'm scheduled to host the Musical Theatre Furs meet & greet at the time I'm scheduled to DJ the fursuit friendly dance on Saturday night.  Frankly, I'm not expecting a huge turnout for the MT furs, so I'm sure I can be there, meet the other two, then skedaddle over to the Westin to get set up and spinning by 11pm.  But I heard a rumour there is last-minute tweaking happening, so I thought I'd mention it.)  :D

I noticed that the car meet is on Saturday from 10am to noon, and the fursuit parade is on Saturday at 1pm with the prep starting at 12:30pm. Is this enough time in between to put my car away, jump into fursuit (and deal with the Westin elevators) and then get to the parade? I'm sure I'm not the only one that's both a gear head and a fursuiter.

You might have more luck sending your friend a private message. They're more likely to see it when they log in!

Too bad scribd.com is blocked by my company - I'll have to view it from home Sad

Edit: and I see that the MLP panel overlaps Kage's story hour Annoyed Can I assume that
much of the latter will be recorded and posted on youtube since he's not doing DVDs anymore?

It looks like that got lost in the paperwork shuffle... Shocked

Unfortunately, this means we'll probably have to put it on the poster schedule only once we get it sorted out...you have my full apologies.  Sad

Wait. Peter Beagle is gonna be at the con again? Or is this a misprint?

Not a misprint.  Peter Beagle would have been present last year, but the con moved forward a week to allow the City of Pittsburgh to host the NHL draft.  This weekend had already been scheduled for Peter to appear as a GoH at another con.  So yes, Peter will be at the con and, due to the settlement of the long-standing disagreement between him and the company that made the animayed movie, there will be new Last Unicorn merchandise.

Like a poster that is an image of the Unicorn... but the background is the entire text of the novel.

It seems that the "Floor Wars - Dance Competition" is on the scheduale but not in the descriptions. Also it seems like the "Last-Fur-One Dance Workshop" just isn't on there at all. We'll have to just spam twitter then haha.

Agreed. Would it be possible to make flyers for these panels or for the panels that have been forgotten to add a flyer for all the panels that wasnt in the schedule booklet?

There are no events before Thursday at 6pm. We don't count the opening of Registration as an 'event'..

Registration will be noon-2pm Pre-registration only, and 2pm-10pm for all Registration.

Woot! Kudos for having this done before the con. :3

Think we could do the same thing with the con book, or do we have to wait for that?

I don't remembering the con book ever being posted online before the con.  Doesn't mean they won't do it this time, though.

The Con Book, no. That's a collectible!

The At-Con Guide / Dining guide might be placed online.

You may want to give the title you had for the panel you had wanted to run.  Perhaps KP or Arrow could look into it more and get back to you.  You could also try emailing Arrow at fandom-track@anthrocon.org

Typo on top of page 62:

Magi Nation
Should be Saturday 3:30 - 6pm, as shown on the schedule calendar.
-
Also looks like the page numbers on 10-19 got fused together.

Christopher: 1p - 2p on Friday in the Pennsylvania. I see it on the schedule.

Osiris: I'm gonna tell you what I tell everyone who asks why there's no panel on <thing>: Because you didn't make one! Panels only happen when people make them happen. Looks like nobody made a Therian panel happen this year.

Maybe I'm misreading this, but...

According to the sortof bar-graph schedule, the Ironclaw game starts at 7 pm on Friday and ends at 11 pm.

The event description, however, says it starts at 11 am and goes until 1 pm.

Which is the accurate schedule?

Hello.

I hope you enjoy AC.

Please consider, when posting, whether or not the thread you're posting on is a good fit for the
post you're making.

This thread is a bad fit for anything right now because it's months old and
SPECIFICALLY is about the schedule for the preceding AnthroCon.

Your excitement about attending is welcome, but there's no reason to post about it
on THIS thread.

The First Timers forum is a better fit, and you could start a new thread with how excited
you are, or whatever. If you replied to a thread there, you'd be more likely to reply to
a thread also related to a new poster excited about attending for the first time.

Can we get this thread locked?

We have a thread about time-sensitive events from 4 months ago,
and people are bumping it up with general comments about
how they're looking forward to AnthroCon or how they like
AC, which have nothing whatsoever to do with last year's schedule.

I tried appealing to their better nature, but it didn't work.
So, how about we lock the thread and stop this specific problem?
