Did anyone happen to get a photo of the Lucario in a wheelchair? I was curious about that one. I really admire whoever was in that suit... Unable to walk, but STILL attending AC and having fun.

I've got one, but it may be on my film camera, and it may be months before I finish the roll and get it developed
I assume this was the same person who was at the closing ceremonies (with a walker, not a wheelchair) and made an emotional comment about how accommodating everybody was to him, and if he could do it, then other physically challenged furries/suiters could too

Good Afternoon Ron and others:
That fursuiter in those pictures was yours truly. I wish to thank everyone for your kind words, and continual encouragement during this most life changing (for the better) event.
Going through life as one who has had cerebral palsy since birth, I have integrated this condition into my life, incorporating it into everything that I do. In short, nothing stops me. I had an additional challenge in the fact, that I could not comfortably wear my glasses in the suit, which meant that I had to go without them, during my entire time in suit. This translated to about a vision radius of about 3 feet, and considerable eye strain at times, since I have to always wear my glasses. I just did whatever it took to get in suit, and get out there and mingle with the best of them.
Those that were with me at the closing ceremonies, stated that many around were impressed with what I had done. Truthfully, AC was a blast, and I look forward to meeting many more wonderful suiters and non-suiters next year.
Again, thank you all for your kind words, it just underscores how proud I am to be a furry, and of this wonderful community!
All the best,
Marsh Schneidau

I never got a chance to talk to you out of suit and tell you that your fursuit looked amazing and you really rocked. See you again next year! *hugs*

permalinkIt was also my first time at AC this year, and I also have a physical disability. Everyone there was so understanding and helpful, I was quite surprised. I saw you when I was coming down the escalator one day, ad I remarked on how awesome your suit looks. It makes me so glad to see that people with physical disabilities don't let them get in the way of what they want to do, no matter what that activity may be. I only wish I couls have talked with you out of your suit.
Oh, I was the guy with the metal leg

I absolutely adored you suiting. You were an all around awesome person, and your lucario suit was amazingly well made.

Good Morning Mrabem:
I was enjoyable meeting you and everyone else at AC too. While I didnt "network" as much as I would have liked, I believe I made some good friends at AC.
Suiting was a blast for me too! I was so glad that my suit came in time for AC. I am going to do quite a bit more suiting next year.
I was so nice to meet all the wonderful folks who were so supportive.
All the best,
Rukario

Why do those cones look like NERF accesories? Push the right spike on your costume and FWOOOSH! they'll launch off!
