Heyhey, anyone got any suggestions for a good pizza parlor near the main hotel? Couple friends and I are going to split an anchovy pizza and I want some place that's known "not-suck".

Actually there is a good pizza parlor "IN" the hotel. More, or less in the hotel. I cannot recall the name at the moment, but its attached to the hotel. I think its on the same level as the lobby.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it good pizza. It's a chain (Sabbaro?) with greasy pizza, and a very limited selection... But your preference pay vary.

But yes, it is conveniently located in the lobby behind the elevators.

There are 17 pizza places, and a bunch of Italian places listed in the city guide. http://www.anthrocon.org/files/anthrocon/active/0/guide-reader.pdf

It's Pizzaria Uno, and I would actually classify it as "far from good" pizza. As I said in another thread:

Sadly, the pizza that they serve at the Pizzaria Uno kiosk by the hotel is pretty much exactly what you would get if you bought the same pizza in the freezer section of your local grocery store. I know this for a fact since they wouldn't serve us last year at close to their 7 PM (!) closing time on Saturday because "they didn't defrost enough pizzas for the day."

Yeah, Pizzaria Uno is the suck. But I'll take a look at the list and see what I can find. I just want a place that understands the concept of extra anchovies.

I have no idea what it's called, but there's a pizza place a straight walk about two blocks from the hotel, that was good, not expensive, and open later than the other places specifically for the convention. Anyone remember what the name is?

Pizza Parma...pizza was good though they didn't have much in the way of air conditioning.

Hey, pizza making is hot business.

I'm looking forward to hitting Pizza Parma up for a meal or three.
