I'll be driving up early Sunday morning (only day off from work) and would need a place to park for the day. I looked at the maps, but I'm still feeling uncertain and uneasy. I'd appreciate some good advice about parking for Sunday. |

plenty of places to park both indoor and outdoor. You can pretty much drive around and find them.

That's why we have a Parking Info page.

I did look at that, but I'm still concerned. Its unfamiliar territory and I was hoping someone could confirm that I'll be okay coming in early Sunday morning, probably around 3 or 4 am.

An unfortunate surprise:
I arrived a little after 2am Sunday and left just before 8pm. From what I understood from the website, this meant that I would pay $5 for parking on Sunday. When I paid, I was charged $20 for the hours instead of the day rate. Also, the entry was supposed to have been closed at midnight. This would have been good to know beforehand. Maybe it can be added to the parking info for next year.

I know you have no control over it. I'm just offering some information that might be useful to somebody next year.

permalinkWhich lot did you use? The convention center lot as probably the most expensive.

it was 20 per 24 hour period in the convention center..and they gave you a voucher at the Westin check in for 50% off total bill. For 5 days and some hours, it was only 55 for me..pretty damned good.

I thought that only applied to the garage under the Westin, not the CC one

Unfortunately, I didn't stay at the hotel, so I didn't get the discount. I was only there for Sunday.

permalinkI use the city lot on the corner of 3rd and Wood. It's indoor, with security, $5/day from Friday night through Monday at 6am, and it has pull-through spaces that accomodate my trailer. It's six or seven blocks from the hotel, but a good deal for what you pay. There are closer city lots for unattached vehicles.
