I'm getting a partial fursuit while I'm out there and I need a way to transport it home and I don't have a big enough suitcase. Does anyone know if the airport would have a problem with me just bringing the head along in a cardboard box on the way home? (I can toss the arms, legs, and feet in my backpack) |

Hey there!
My mate went last year and he said he got a big rubbermaid container - so it's really strong and can't break and what not. - Also he said he put "HANDLE WITH CARE: MASCOT COSTUME" on the box, on the top and sides. lol he also put a "this side up" sign with an arrow.
I plan on doing the same when i go in 08 Hope this helps :3

The #1 way to go thats standard across the board for suiters is to get yourself a Rubbermaid "Action Packer". These things are reinforced six ways from Sunday and are large enough to accommodate any suit and then some. (Save maybe that giant robot wolf...)
Either way, they should run between 30-50$ depending on your area and can be very securely fastened, or locked if you're bold enough. (Not recommended for flying)
Neatly fold your suit at the bottom of it and place the head on top. If you're worried about it getting out of whack in transit, you can also add any manner of roll foam to brace the head in the center, to make sure even if it flips a few times, you're square.
And because I'm awesome, here's the link to buy one on the cheap. http://www.rei.com/product/634288
