Thurs, Fri Dances

Hay guys, Draconum here, the second DJ on Friday night (YOU BETTER HAVE ALL COME. IT ROCKED )

Anywho, I just wanted to discuss my experience so far. (As I speak, Genki is finishing, and unfortunately, I just had to head out due to utter exhaustion from my own set. Otherwise I'd never turn down a dance XD)

Quell went on first, and definately did an excellent job with his set. There were some difficulties, though (not his fault... we think. XD) Somehow, something blew up in AC's equipment due to excessive bass, and there was a 15 minute delay, which was unforuntate, and probably turned some people away. (Though some people kept occupied with Strongbad Techno in the meanwhile, and I encouraged the attendees to simply keep dancing and make music up in their head :3).

It was definately not my normaly style or anything, but it was still pretty wicked and there was a definate groove, and it was mixed quite well (I didn't notice the transitions at all, so good job there, buddy.) There was dancing on and off the set to be had by myself, up until...

MY set (sorry, I'm still real excited, so I'm all buzzin' about it)! I started things up, perhaps a bit calmly at first, but things kicked up and I was doing my best to keep things interesting with my FX box (that was used for some of the fills and stutters and some other things). (It's a KORG Kaoss Pad KP3 for the interested). I was sooo excited, so I kept dancing throughout my whole set. Sunshadow says that I never stopped moving. Personally, I don't even quite remember I really think I got a good reception, and while things were not UBER perfect, there were no trainwrecks (that /I/ noticed! If you think there was _let_ _me_ _know_!). I am already pumped at the prospect (though that's up to Simba, *nudge nudge*. Ya'know, that awesome guy ) of spinning next year, hehe. If you would actually care so much as to want me to come back, please send him a nice email and I'm sure he will listen to it

And then came TekFox, who was really cool and got on the mic before he started spinning to say, "Everybody, give it up for DJ Draconum!" Thanks Tek, you rock! I stayed for a bit of his set, but I was (er, AM) tired as heck and had to go lie down on Sun's lap in the con center hallway for awhile, before we all came down to the Internet Room (current location :3)

For what I heard of Tek's set though, he is AMAZING and I hope to reach his level at some point As far as Genki... mrf! Sorry! I will try to meet up with ya before con's over if I can. (But I'm sure it was awesome. He's got a great rep from what I hear

(Oh yeah. Thursday: I didn't get TOO much into the 80's remix stuff, just because I'm not one for the cheese, but I did dance for most of the latter half of it and it was fun. Tails came on with an electro/house/trance ish set which I think I heard most of. I really enjoyed it! Hope to talk with him too before con's end.)
