I remember reading two articles in the local paper on Anthrocon, does anyone know if there were any more? I remember last year there were a couple different reviews of the con. I'd also be interested in finding out what the guests thought of the con.

Please redirect me if this is elsewhere but I couldn't find it by searching.

There's more where that came from:

and I wonder what the staff thinks of this:

"I hope I didn't sound like I was suggesting that everyone rush to attend a "furry" convention, especially this one next year. Not only are they not for everyone but the Anthrocon management would dearly appreciate it if their gatherings didn't get much bigger and, therefore, less intimate. "

Edit: here are the newspaper links; I'll let somebody else chase down the video ones from the TV news.

The idea of AC becoming 5000 strong or larger is a daunting prospect and we make light of the anxiety the concept raises for us, but it's really just half-joking. There are no current plans to apply any attendance caps. Que sera, sera.

Thanks Ron, and thanks PeterCat! I've been trying to find out what Rob Paulsen and Carolyn Kelly thought, but so far have had no luck. I've also been looking for info on poor Fernando after seeing the other forum entry http://www.anthrocon.org/node/1398.

Me and Pegasus316 got the chance to talk to Carolyn after the dealer's room closed on sunday, and she had a blast! She mentioned first and foremost the raw amount of creativity the fandom have and went on to talk about how nice everyone was. She's done other conventions before and has already spoken to Kage about swinging back next year, or is going to soon as she told us.

I also got to talk to the GOH's late Sunday night. Carolyn even gave me a nice big hug. She was bubbling over with happiness, but was lamenting that she didn't get to spend more time enjoying all the CON had to offer. I told her that there was always next year, and she seemed to be determined to make a return visit.

Cool Smiling I hope she gets a chance to come next year, and I hope she'll enjoy it just as much as she did this year. Do you know if she or Rob left actual memories anywhere on-line like Mark did?

That doesn't quite count as a "non-fur" review, though, given that the original article was written by GreenReaper Smiling
