First and foremost, THANK YOU ALL for everything that you have done for me... for us... at Anthrocon 2007! In case you didn't know who that was on the stretcher coming from the Washington room on July 8th... well... that was me. I had a nasty kidney stone that sent me into a daze like no other. It was removed today, and though I am still in a lot of pain right now, I am alive and doing better. Secondly, there are three pics from the Art Show that I want to know the status on, one of which I won, the other two I am not so sure. These are pics from TaniDaReal, one of my favourite artists and good friends. I sent PeterCat a message about these because due to my emergency, I was not able to get out on time. Thirdly, I want to thank the great Sinatra, for allowing me to play as the Caffeine Cat (yes, that psycho). I had a wonderful time and I really enjoying fursuiting for the first time in my life. 'Twas an experience I will never forget. Now I can remember everyone chanting "White board, white board, white board!" over and over in the back of my mind. Fourthly, my sincerest gratitude to Mark Evanier, Carolyn Kelly, and ESPECIALLY Rob Paulsen for giving us some great times. It was terrific to meet you all in person, and shake your hands. Thank you, for everything that you do. Fifthly, oh, god... the names... the names... how to remember them all. Logarth, whom I bumped into time and again, even here at the airport (yes, this message is coming from the airport), who has been fantastic and a good friend. Once again to Sinatra, that incredible bunny and a great actor. Hope you enjoyed the meal! To Aerak and Alkora, for the pounces and hugs! To Takala, that amazing zebra of whom I will never forget. And to CadpigJR, whom you might know here also as BurstyLioness, I will miss you very much. Finally, to NautaCeta, KellicJTiger and Carrie, local friends who really made it worth coming to AC... even if it did end in a kidney stone. Furp and Tony Ringtail as well, who kept me awake during the whole hellish event. And one more name here... Cobalt, that amazing blue lion, I hope to see you again. Lastly, Dr. Samuel Conway... Uncle Kagé and 2 the Ranting Gryphon... you both rock! If there is anyone I did not mention, I apologize, I'mn doing this on a woozy head. |

permalinkAlso Glad to hear you're alright. I was the hotel medic that came on scene. You were already being cared for by Tim, NJ medic and Anthrocon particpant and another person. They did a great job.

permalinkSonic,
I was one of the people in the hall when they were taking you out. I'm sorry to hear you got sick, but it sounds like you're getting better. Damn kidney stones. :/
Which brings me to a point of note for the Dorsai, who were very calm and fabulous for the whole event. Because they could not shut off part of the hall to get you down the elevator, they asked everyone to stay back. Unfortunately those who were walking in got really confused and had to be yelled at a few times. I know the Dorsai are trained for emergency situations, but perhaps they should have yelled "Everyone stand near the walls, we need this area clear" rather than "clear the area."

Thank you both for the kind words and the suggestion, Growler. We'll take it to heart - it's always possible to do things better.

So it was you! I am sorry to hear that you had to go through such an ordeal. That truly sucks. And to make matters worse it happened on the last day of the con. Gah, horrible.
But I am glad that you are better now.
Whoray for lines of text that seem heartless.

I truly am thankful to all of my friends, old and new, for being there with me throughout the entire convention, and not just that horrific scene.
Baker Bunny, I was looking for you, but I never did find you.
But I do appreciate your cookie offers! ^^ I also had offered a few cookies in honour of you in con ops... from Subway, but those were nowhere near as good as your cooking! ^^
The Dorsai... you are all an integral part of Anthrocon. In a sense, you make us complete, keeping us in order, answering our endless amount of questions, and being our guardian angels in times of crisis. Never forget that!

I was coming out of the Butler room just in time to hear the "clear the area" command and then saw them take you by. Glad to hear that you are doing OK. Everybody.... please DO remember to drink plenty of water!

Sonic,
The Chart of the Zodidawgs went to voice auction, but I don't know if it was contested, or went to the bid sheet.
The Mother 'Yote received no bids at closing time;
niether did the Fox in a business suit drinking.
"What The...?", the picture of the Tani Schnolf and the astonished possum, was won by me.

None of the artwork you mentioned to me did I bid on. I won "Soft and Feral," but the other two pieces, "Big Blue Dance" and "Sons of Night and Day," were the ones I'm concerned about.
I'm glad to see much of Tani's work was bid on, however.
I shall return next year. I'm virtually sure of it. 3rd time is the charm, éh?

Eeek! I hadn't heard that happened to you, and was wondering what'd happened to you Sunday night, goodness. :/
Thanks for all your help this year, it was very much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you next year!
