This may be a complicated pairing, coming to Anthrocon for the first time and also deciding to be a dealer. I've been to a con before, not too bothered. My big questions are about the dealer's room and such. If I only bring one person, ie me, is it allowable to shut down for a few hours everyday? I sell small quilts and the like, and some needlework. And yes, I did read all the stuff on dealership. |

Perny, this was mentioned in a forum posting before the con; it might not be in the Dealer's Room info.
Of course, you can shut down your table for a time. It's actually an expected situation. Things like bathroom breaks are a requirement. Just bring a sheet or something to cover your table while you're gone. If you're going to be away for a while, inform the Dorsai Irregulars (those great people in the red Security shirts) so that they can at least try to keep a closer eye on your table while you're gone. You can also ask the dealers on either side of you if they would try to keep an eye on your table as well. Bring something to use as a sign to tell when you'll be back.
Just remember that you can't make sales while you're away. You might want to see if you can get a friend to attend the con with you to cover the table while you're doing other things.
