We have quite a lot of things in our lost and found this year, including cameras, photographic equipment, bags with merchandise in them, keys, fursuit parts and accessories, jewelry, glasses (all kinds), storage media such as SD cards and thumb drives, and many other things.

If you lost something in a hotel room, please contact the hotel directly and ask to speak to Housekeeping Services.  Anthrocon can not help you retrieve items that were left in hotel rooms.

If you lost something in Anthrocon function or public space, please send an email to ceo(at)anthrocon.org with "LOST AND FOUND" prominently in the subject line, and include the following:

  • Your name and full mailing address (if you are not a registered resident of that address, please include a "care of" name).
  • A detailed description of the item.

We also have quite a lot of badges that were turned in.  If you lost an Anthrocon membership badge and would like it back, please contact us.  We cannot give refunds for any badge-replacement costs at this time -- sorry!  If you lost a character badge and you see it pictured below, please claim it.

Hello Kage, I personally didn't lose anything, but the ZEN badge that is right above the large "HUGS!" wolf badge, does it happen to say anything like ZEN fox or have any other markings on it? (This may belong to a friend of a friend and will forward this post to them) Thank you!

Edit - I think the bottom left "Hello - Quick Silver" Belongs to quick silver who was in the artist alley, Sent her a note on FA.

I was the one who found the Ruffy badge on the curb by the DLCC and turned it in, I have located said person on FA and notified them of their lost badge.

After commissioning my first badge ever this year, I know now why losing a badge is such a big deal.

Loosing a badge can be quite a big deal.  That is one reason I never bring the original badges to a convention.  What I do is scan the original badges in so I have a digital copy.  I then print out a badge and get it laminated.  When I go to cons I bring the laminated copies to use and keep the original artwork safe at home.

And if you forget and leave your badge home, you can print and laminate another copy at the con, as I did.

Is the art on badges double-sided? (I've never had one made.) If not, is it feasible to put your name/address on the back, like you're supposed to do for sketchbooks?

That Raxor badge in the middle is mine! I lost it around the middle of the con, super glad someone handed it in! Whom do I e-mail to claim it?

I wonder how many people out there actually put their contact information on their badges so at least we can identify them.

I imagine that its not a very common thought.  Same with the 5 billion sketchbooks that invariably pass through.

Congrats on your promotion by the way. :)  You did well this year.

What's a good way to write on laminant that won't rub off on clothing, though?

Probably would work best with a cheap blank label stuck on there first.

Maybe use an address label, covered by clear shipping tape. Or as Charlie suggested, put it on before laminating -- ask the artist to do so if they're doing the lamination.

Even better: put your contact info on the badge before lamination.  (if possible; it may not be...)

I lost a badge at AC, but i was able to recover it during the con. Fortunately i realized it was gone early on. I don't know why i thought it was a good idea to wear the original, but next time i think I'll be using backups.

It's so odd to see my badge was at Anthrocon. At least something of me was there xD

I know someone who had stollen a bag of... bad dragon toys... at Anthrocon.  I have tried to find the person who "lost" them, but I have not had any luck.  If anyone knows who is missing a LOT of toys, have them message the Dalmatian named Thedd on FA (and that is what you would replace your name with at the top to get to my page directly).
