As far as I know, there were no issues this year. (i.e., no signs were ripped down by the hotel)
I wasn't at the post-con meeting with the hotel, though. Something might have been brought up there.

There was no mention of door signs at the post-con meeting with the hotel. They seemed very happy with the convention as a whole.

The only signs I saw were the Dorsai Door Hangers, two of which were on my floor. Hopefully mroe people will be aware of these next year.

permalinkI saw one between my room and the elevator.
(I didn't scour my floor or anything-and there were none between my room and the ice-machine.)
I expect there will be more next year, especially as artists make more. I already have plans to discuss one design with Captain Q for something with a playing-card motif for mine. It would take a lot more time than I had this year to design it and have it made, but there's always next year.

I saw a few door handle signs, but not many. I also saw an equal number of signs taped to doors, and I heard through the grape vine that at the last minute, the hotel said it was ok to stick things to the number plates (despite the fact that many of the plates were barely stuck to the wall).
I usually make a pretty nice one with character art of each resident (pretty easy since I've roomed with the same people for the last few ACs), but I was too busy to even bother this year, especially with having to invent a new template.

"I heard..." are the two words that make me cringe most. Rumor control is by far the most difficult part of my job.
The hotel management said no such thing.

I figured as much, but every once in awhile, something accurate will sneak through the rumour mill
