digital camera *stolen*

I'm writing on behalf of a travling mate (JAL Dog) who had his camera stolen Monday mornign at the hotel. The story he tells me goes as such. Having lost then recovered his camera just prior (within 5 minutes) he asked a man standing on the 2nd floor if he can get a picture taken of himself. The man obliges but once he is given teh camera he bolts straight across the bridge to the convention center and parking garage. The general, be it vague, description of the man was a latino who was not appearing to be wearing a conbadge.

I'm sure that at this point the chances of the bastard being hunted down are slim but I'm puting this out there just in case anyone can come up with other information or if he was spotted on camera. I should probably add for the sake of the camera that the incident happened sometime between 11:30am and 10:30am but probably cloer to 10:30 if this is any help.
