2008 Website is up
Some folks may have noticed that I just "threw the switch" on the 2008 website.
Of course, with our 2008 convention being 11 months away as I write this, there are some parts of the website (such as the events section) which still have 2007's content on them, and will for some time. When browsing around the pages, be sure to note the year at the top of the page, just under the title. If there is a link that says "2007", it means that the page is from last year's convention and has not yet been updated. If it says "2008", it means that the page has been updated for the 2008 convention.
We also have Anthrocon 2008 banners available for placement on your own website. If you are an aspiring graphic artist and would like to contribute your own banners and buttons, feel free to send them to us.
Finally, we would like to thank Erika Leigh R. for her hard work on the 2008 website design!
Enjoy!
I love the design of the new banners! Erika did a fantastic job on them.
Yay its green!!
Now to adjust my eyes to the bright spearmint color x.x
Green = good though...
Darnit! I only get the minty goodness on the banner and the user icons, not the GUI and the side bar. *pout*
Oh well. I still like what i get of the new look.
Hey Giza, I think we should re-write the slogan for AC 08 to read...
"Its a Jungle IN there"
"Hee Hee"
Sharky
Cool new colors. Very nice design.
All of a sudden the website has a refreshing mint flavor.

OMG! My waffle! Oh, the humanity!
Be sure to visit the website and lick your computer's screen twice daily for minty fresh breath!

Just out of curiousity, has anthrocon.org chosen or have a vague idea of who their guest(s) of honour will be? If not, could con attendees offer their own suggestions?

Floyd Norman, African-American animator for Disney Studios, has already been announced. He worked on a number of films, including Robin Hood. Due to his modesty, he will not be Guest of Honor, but Guest of O.K. This information was in that bag of stuff you were handed at Registration: a bright yellow sheet, IIRC.
As for suggesting guests, there's thread around concerning that. Basically, it boils down to having the fans not make suggestions publicly. It starts rumors and raises expectations that the committee may not be able to achieve. (However, nothing was said about making suggestions privately...)
ohh come now a rumor here a rumor there what's the big deal (sarcasim) we could become a rumor mill if we don't watch out for the number of rumors floating about, but whose counting 5,742... 5743.. 5744 I mean uhhhhh look it's chuck noris http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/285267
*knocks self out*

*Proceedes to graze on the clover*
I think its very nice and the green does look good.

After seeing everything the AC staff does, I kinda figured y'all wouldn't be doing any updates till Sept. or so.
Thanks for your diligence and desire to work for the fandom.
