Is my internet browser glitching??

Exkhaniber's picture

For reference: I use Mozilla Firefox.

And I was just on this site not 20 minutes ago, and it was still blue with the normal banners. It is now green with no banners along the top. Is the web site being updated or does my computer need a reboot? (Only been running for two hours...)

As someone else mentioned, I just rolled out the 2008 website.

Not sure why you're not seeing the banner across the top, though. Try doing a "power refresh" in your browser?

Ah, thanks. I still can't see the banners, but that really doesn't concern me much. I just wanted to make sure my computer was still working properly. I remember a lot of very, very odd and very serious problems when I used to use Windows ME....*shudder*

Right click over where the banner should be, make sure you don't have images blocked in firefox. It'll freak out n'do that sometimes.

I should also mention that I'm doing the banner a little differently this year. In the 2007 design, it was a clickable graphic. This year, it is a non-clickable background for a table cell with a style tag applied.

You're running the latest version of FireFox, right? Smiling

Small note:

When I tried to upgrade my (admittedly old and velnerable) lappy to Firefox 2.0, the poor computer locked up and crashed every time I tried to open FireFox. I tried re-installing 2.0 and got the same problem. The problem went away when I re-installed version 1.5.

If it still hasn't changed by now for you, try emptying the cache from firefox. It's possible that bugged out when the site changed. Tools > Clear Private Data... > Cache
