Dragons can be "furry," so this is sorta on-topic!

Dragons can be anthropomorphic.

Boats float on water, and human beings are 80% water.

So...DRAGONBOATS!

Indeed, Falkor, the luck dragon in Neverending Story was furry, too! Pittsburgh has it's own dragonboats and a festival for them, too. http://www.pittsburghdragonboatfestival.org/
