new potential anthro con atendee
hi this is adam i am from washington i might be atending this convention next year depending on how the rainfurrest con goes i just want to know if there is anybody in the pitsburgh area that i might get in contact with i also have relitives in phillie i just need to know how far that is just in case i should stay over there rather than pay for plane ticket and room
but first i need to get through rainfurrest
Take it from me: it's a VERY long drive!
What if you were to meet up with your relatives in Philadelphia, and all of you together get a room at the Westin and make Anthrocon a family outing?
Bah! Not as long as the Boston to Chicago drive for MFF!
(Yes, I'm crazy.)
i guess its not bad compaired to that but still i dont want to drive 300 miles ill see how it goes till then and i try to leave family out of my interests because they really dont get my unique interest but you never know till next year
Hey, as long as you tell them where you're going, whatever works for you...
We've had folks get into massive arguments with their parents before when they tried to hide their travel plans, and many of them were forcibly kept home. The safety issues are also greater when you're under 18 and your parents don't know how to reach you, so personally, i don't recommend it.
i know, my parents already know i want to go, so its no big surprize, and they are actualy goig to help me get the best rate for flying there, also i am 19 so its not as big as it would be if i were under 18. i just need to see how rainfurrest goes
Good plan. Rainfurrest sounds like a great way to test the waters for anthrocon.
As for the parental stuff...well, i just had to say it, seeing as it's come up again fairly recently. *wrygrin*
yup it will although my mom dosent like the idea of furries and my dad dosent mind it they still love me and want me to expeirience new things
thats why they are helping me find the best fare
and yes i am very exited for rainfurrest it being the newest con in washington
i might have my licence by the time it rolls around *is very giddy right now* so i can drive there and drive people around
anyways
i am very exited for anthrocon also
anyways i hope to get in contact with you guys soon

It would appear that Philadelphia is approximately 300 miles, or a five-hour drive, away from Pittsburgh. That might be a bit far for you to commute each day.
