T-shirts will be on their way soon!
Anthrocon apologizes for having run out of T-shirts at the convention much earlier than we anticipated. It is always an interesting juggling act to try to guess what the demand will be. Obviously, this year we greatly underestimated. The good news is that we have printed a second run of T-shirts that have just arrived, and very shortly we will begin to send them out to those folks that turned in a slip at the con store (sponsors and supersponsors) or a volunteer slip at Operations. As you can see from the photo there are quite a few of them and it's going to take a bit of time to get them sorted and packaged up for shipment to our generous (super)sponsors and hard-working volunteers, but rest asssured that we are working as fast as we can to get them out the door...so that the chairman can actually get to his door.
If you have not sent in your t-shirt slip, please do so right away, because once we have mailed out the shirts that we owe to folks, we'll be making the rest available in the con store, and we can't guarantee that they'll last long there.
This was the first year I volunteered. I racked up enough hours to earn a T-shirt and turned in my papers to con-ops. Is there anything else I need to do?
Shameless bump hoping to get an answer.
No, not unless you want to travel to North Carolina and help me put address labels on all the packages.
I thought you (and the shirts) were in the Philly area?
I assume they're the ones with the feline firefighters on them? I already got mine at AC after turning in my SuperSponsor coupon for one of those shirts at the con store.
It's a cool design. It would've made more sense if the characters were dalmatians, but I like it.
Is there any chance there might be an additional run of the tote bags? I showed up right after opening ceremonies and wanted to purchase one, but the registers weren't functioning at the time.
Tote bags were a 2012 item (and Supersponsor perk); we're trying to blow them out and there'll be no reprints of them. I don't know if there's any still in stock.
"blow them out"??
They can be surprisingly good balloons.
"Clear them out", altrernatively. Sell them until there are no more in stock, to remove them from inventory.
Im surprised there would be any left. I forgot to bring my bag this year but thought it was quite nice perk (not that i could say as much about this years one of the foam car but then again as the con chair has said many times its not about swag its about helping the con out which is really cool all in itself.plus getting in early and the luncheon are better perks then any physical things anyway ).Where is the con store online exactly?Maybe I might buy another one.
I thought the bags were from 2011? I remember the cool batsignal like anthrocon light up cup being from last year.
You're correct! There must have been a misprint on my memory.
A way to delete a message would be nice. And trying to find the delete through the edit link just creates a duplicate message.
I believe you were giving out t-shirts to anyone who collected charity donation ribbons for everyday of the con, right? Is it possible to get one shipped to you if they ran out of shirts before you got there?
Those were a limited cache of Kaze, Ghost Warrior t-shirts from Anthrocon 2005 that we unearthed. There were only 15 of them and were first-come, first-serve. See: http://www.anthrocon.org/node/12372/charity-ribbons-win-kaze-ghost-warrior-t-shirt
Sam, would you mind holding mine for me? Address on record is no longer accurate and I will update when I figure out just where I am going to end up.
Question. I have my Super Sponsor badge still but the slip I had for the shirt has long since been misplaced. Is there a way for me to show you my badge from AC for proof to get a tshirt? or without the slip I am SOL?
Erf. We really do need the slip. It's the only way we can keep track of who got the shirts and who didn't.
Ok, makes since. I looked and I think it is gone. If all else fails, is there the posibility I am purchase a con shirt?
I realise that I may be a little late in mentioning this but... I might as well mention it here. X3 I was a Supersponsor for AC 2013 and unfortunately in all my excitement with running around and having fun with friends and whatnot, I never made it down in time to get my t-shirt for the con, I was kinda hoping that someone would be able to help me out with this and as proof that I was a supersponsor I can list my badge number and that should match up with my name on here. This was my first ever (but definitely not last) Anthrocon and was really hoping that I would be able to have this important suvenier for the future. Please someone send me a note mentioning on what I may be able to do to get one of the shirts. :3
you need to give AC your slip you got in your reg packet which if you turn in you get a shirt. If you lost or threw it away youll be out of luck since they wont have proof you didnt somehow get a shirt already.
I don't see it asked... so I will.
Surely this second batch of shirts will have some unclaimed ones? I am a cat... and meows can't express the disappointment I had when I tried to buy this T-Shirt at the convention and they were sold out. Finally, MY CRITTERS on a shirt!
What will it take to get one of these in a size Large? I can beg, I can drive, I can stick address labels.
It's February 2014 and I have yet to get my Anthrocon 2013 T-shirt. What gives?
I am sorry -- I must not have received your email inquiry. Please re-send it. I'll keep an eye out for it!
Ah, I didn't know I was supposed to send an email, I thought when I handed my slip to the guy at the profit center that that was it. Would would I send that email?
Email me at ceo(at)anthrocon.org with the (real) name that would have been on the slip, and I'll research it.
What are the chances that when you dig through that pile of shirts, you find a size L for me as well? I'm just an attendee, nothing special. I'll pay a premium!!!!
Finally, a convention shirt with cats on it and they were sold out way early. Maybe there's enough interest for a small order? Yes... I know the economics and that's a long shot, but this is my vote for it.
GREAT!!!!! I had no idea there was such a store. I got my shirt... wrong size but it'll do. Thanks again! -PC
