Yet ANOTHER new Fur who has seen the light!
|
Greetings my fellow furs my fur name is Callie and I live in eastern Pennsylvania. I found out about this fandom through an x-friend and came to the realization that I have been a fur a rather long time. I never knew there were people out there just like me... sad... I know. Anyway! I don't want to fully talk about my self and bore you all to death. To the point! I was going to go to anthrocon 2007 but I ended up going to school for a month. Now I am sure I will be going to anthrocon 2008 and I really would like to make new friends who have the same love for something. I have no friends rl who I can relate to and it is kinda depressing... -.- I will be coming in a partial suit and I wanna know everything I need to know. I want to be ready for anything and everything! Oh ya... I'm 24... and a female... murrowl... Well enough of my ramblings... ^.^; |

permalinkA) Hello.
B) Please read the entire FAQ. Now, and again in 6 months.
C) The First Timers forum has a lot of advice repeated over and over.....
D)Here's some links.

Those links have links of their own.
Me, rather than offer the same advice over and over to everyone, I posted it all once as best I could and link to it here...

ohhh come now what's the fun in that... I like to personalize my rejections... I mean.. uhhh... hellos *smirks* I actually reject no one unless they're verbally abusive and I mean REALLY verbally abusive... so how bout a hug^^ *puts on shirt that says *free hugs* and tackles* anyways WELCOME to AC first of all NEVER cuss full out in the open such as for example: the F word simply say F*** or $#!t use things that look like the word and/or get the point across without actually saying the word otherwise I'm more than sure they'll delete ur post and please use common sense U can be silly just don't go so over the edge that people hate/despise you which is pretty uncommon and un fur like so ^^ meh... *but with spunk*

permalinkActually I'm a new convert to the fandom as well. In hindsight I probably should have done this since I went to AC07 for my first con and didn't know anyone so you have one up on me, since you're trying to meet people beforehand.

Welcome!
I hope to see you next year at AC 2008! My first Ac was 2006. We had tried to attend this year as well but money constraints and health issues prevented us.
When you attend you will find everyone is wonderfully friendly! Especially the suiters! I had quite a few just randomly come over and give me a hug.
Alot of us artists are always happy to make new friends and goof off so never be afraid to come over to the tables and say hi! We can get pretty busy somedays, but we always try to make a little time for new faces.

May not be safe for me to talk to the artists. XD I am an art whore. I love art and compliment artists over board. I have a friend who is a very good artist and should make an art panel. His art is beautiful but maybe some other time I can talk him into it. I'm dragging him along with me to anthrocon 2008. >:3

Compliments will get you everywhere! And coffee and chocolate..lol *grins*
If your friend is an artist and wants to try his hand at selling artwork at AC, he doesnt need to buy a dealers table. Artists alley is a great way to dip your feet into selling work. I participated in the alley when I whent and I have to say it was not only profitable (VERY) but also loads of fun and incredibly well run (*pokes Duncan*)
Another bonus about Artists alley is that if you dont want to sit and draw for the entire con like you would be obligated to do at a dealers table, you can draw for one day and spend the next taking in the panels and sites.

Yus Welcome to AC, AC 2008 will be my first furry con ever, but this bunny is ready for anything. I have always been furry but I was never open about it until a couple of years ago and now Im planning on going out to alot of cons in the future to meet and greet other furs. Because truthfully, around where I live there are hardly any here.

Argh! I was going to make my first appearence at this years Dragon*Con but now I'll have to wait for either Furry Weekend Atlanta or JaniCon.
Anyway, Welcome! It's nice to see more people joining in our furrie population! It sucks that your not in Florida though.

At least there is one good con in Pennsylvania. ^.^; If there is others... I'm not aware of them. Florida would be nice to live in. A lot more cooler conventions around my interests.
