New user menus!
|
It has been a long standing request from members for some better menu options for interesting with their account. With the upgrade to Drupal 5 last night, I now have modules available that can give us the functionality that we need to make this happen. If you are reading this while logged in, you should see a new menu at the top left called (appropriately), "User Menu". It contains all of the user-centric options, such as options to edit your account, view your subscriptions, and log out. I'd be interested in knowing what folks thing of this menu. Is the placement good/bad? Is there anything on there that doesn't belong? Anything missing that should be on there? Let us know your thoughts! |

I actually have name editing disabled. This is to prevent abuse. (Say, someone does some trolling and then changes their name. It could cause confusion.)
Now, us admins can change your name. Just contact me privately with how exactly you'd like the name to look and we'll make it happen!

Wow, that is nice. The placement is good, I noticed it right away when I logged in. I love the fact that it gives me a quick link to my subscriptions and old posts, thanks for this Giza!

I think it looks great Giza, Great job, though, It would help both mod's and users if there was a report button, this way users dont have to search for E-mail addresses or make a post about it, just a quick little form would be all ya need ^^

I did have a "flag this post" module installed, but the number of queries that it made KILLED the server.
I'll check out some other modules that purport to offer that functionality as time permits, though.
