After much testing and tweaking, the new forums are live. They can be found at: http://www.anthrocon.org/forum I'd like to thank our hard working beta testers for helping to test out the forums and work the bugs out of them. The old forums can still be found at http://forums.anthrocon.org/. We will be leaving them up for some time, in case folks would like to refer to any older discussions. If anyone has questions or comments about the new forum software, feel free to reply to the post or contact us via email. Thanks! Please note: You will have to create a new user account to participate in the new forums. Your login from the old forums will not work! |

This new design is very clean and easy to read, and I am quite impressed with the functionality. I swear that this new forum layout is much faster than the PHPBB Anthrocon had, better response time and loading in general. I also love the new colour scheme, but I can see that it still needs minor tweaks here and there, but this forum is still a baby just yet.
My compliments to Giza and the team for getting this new forum put together. It's fantastic!

permalinkI really like the look and layout of the new forms. I use Netscape, but I still find that I need to it the reload sometimes. Usually just once and all is fine. Aside from that I have no other troubles

permalinkI have a question. I didn't know where to put this and i didn't think it needed a whole new thread.
Is there any kind of private messaging on here? I loved pming because it was one way to get ahold and chat with people if they didn't give email adress or any kind of contact info.

Not yet. Drupal does have one package, but it doesn't meet my needs (such as emailing a user when they have a new pm waiting). However, I am constantly on the lookout for new packages that might be useful in this regard.
If you want to contact an individual user, you can click on their username to get to their userpage and click the tab that says "contact"if they have a personal contact form enabled.
To enable your personal contact form, click the link that says my account, click the "edit" tab, and scroll down to where it says "Personal Contact Form", which near the bottom of that page. Make sure the checkbox is checked and then submit the form.
