Gushousekai195 dreams of a furry fandom anthem!

Last night, I had this dream that I was in this ballroom (not at Anthrocon, sadly) and there were people in fursuits performing on a stage. They sang a song and danced around, too. Then, they started singing this song that was about furries and the furry fandom, but I didn't remember how it went when I woke up. I am also a music composer and I could've remembered it and wrote it down on staff paper. But, although I forgot how the song went, I know that that song could've been the anthem of the furry fandom (there isn't one already, is there?)! I am also inspired to compose an anthem, too. What do you think of this? UPDATE: The song is finished! You can find it, and the link to the lyrics, here. |

With a nod to some of the folks here, a furry drinking song might be more appropriate
The idea of a unifying anthem is interesting. It's a pretty tall order, however, given how the fandom is quite broad and not so easily defined in the first place....

Mmmm. The music is pretty. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it -- I'd give it an 8.
(er, that's before your time).
I'd need to hear how it went together with the lyrics. You don't have a chorus handy, do you?

I don't have a real chorus, Uncle Kage. I can't afford one, either.
IDEA!!!
Maybe, I could get my former music theory teacher to have the choir sing it and I'll record it.

Thank you, very much! Do the lyrics make sense?
If we could get Uncle Kage to listen to this, who knows what he'll say.

permalinkI have always considered Kurrel's song my furry anthem. I know many furrys that like it quite a bit too.

That's song's cool, too, although it wouldn't be a formal anthem for the whole fandom.

Thank you very much. That's what I think, too.
I wonder what Uncle Kage will have to say about this.

I believe it to be calming, yet interesting. I believe it better than what I've ever made in Garageband. lol

(I replied to your comment on Fur Affinity, too.) Yes. Everyone who's heard my music has almost always said that my music was relaxing.

You definitely have a nice (WHY CAN'T I SPELL NICE TODAY???) synthesizer. I get the feeling that it should be more dramatic. Don't ask me why, but I do.

Thanks! I used music workstation software (Propellerheads Reason 3.0) and a CPU synthesizer.
