Does anyone recall (if) when G4 did an attack on Anthrocon? If I remember it coming on Filter (I think). I don't remember the year but I do know that it was fairly recent. Or did I just somehow imagine all of this up.

I googled this to death and could find anything on it at all.

Yeah, this may be a little jarbeled. Thats because I am deeply confused as to why I can't find any information on this at all. I just want to know what Anthrocon it was. 05, 06?

I have to admit, but your post is the first I've heard of this.

I'm sure they were joking around, whatever it is that they said.

I remember seeing a huge thread on it in the old forum. If it wasn't for that attack (if you had seen it, you would understand why I call it an attack) though, I would not of learned of the furry fandom. THATS why I am curious. I am trying to pin point when I was introduced to the fandom. And it was through that.

Maybe you could try asking around on the G4 Filter forums

It was at Anthrocon 2005. They showed up, even after I had politely told them that we were not interested in being featured on their show. When they arrived I just as politely told them that we didn't want them filming and I explained to them that we did not feel we would receive fair coverage from them.

Unfortunately, some starstruck individuals, thrilled at the idea of being on television, invited the fellows up to their hotel room, thus completely circumventing any ability that I had to keep Anthrocon out of their spotlight.

The show ran, three or four people laughed, and then it was quickly forgotten.

Now that you know, let's keep it that way, shall we?
