Welcome to Anthrocon!

ANTHROCON is the world's largest convention for those fascinated with anthropomorphics, which are humanlike animal characters such as have fascinated mankind since the dawn of human imagination. We are a collection of artists, animators, writers, costumers, puppeteers, and just everyday fans who enjoy cartoon animals and their kin. Membership is open to any and all who like to imagine what it would be like if animals could walk and talk as we do -- and no, you do not have to wear a costume to attend!

This is a very special year for Anthrocon, as it marks our twentieth annual convention. To mark this momentous occasion, we have chosen to dub our event THE ROARING TWENTY! Bring along your spats, flapper dresses, and ostrich feathers, but keep a sharp eye out for the revenuers! This will also be the tenth anniversary of our arrival in Pittsburgh, and as always, we will be returning to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to turn the Golden Triangle in the Furry Triangle. The festivities will begin on Thursday, June 30, 2016, and will run through Sunday, July 3, 2016.

We are very pleased to announce three very special luminary guests who will be joining us for our celebration of the art of cartoon animals. Mr. Trevor Devall is a prolific voice actor who hails originally from Canada, where he spent fifteen years as a voice-over artist before relocating to Los Angeles, CA. His credits include My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Lego Star Wars, and a host of characters for the Marvel universe including, most recently, Rocket Raccoon on the animated Guardians of the Galaxy. Ms. Tracy Butler is an illustrator and graphic designer originally from Massachusetts whose impressive resume includes the amazing Lackadaisy Cats, a long-running graphic series depicting a world of cats in the age of Prohibition. Award-winning animation genius Joaquin Baldwin left his native Paraguay to study at the UCLA Animation Workshop, where he produced three animated shorts which won over 130 awards and honors at Cannes, The Student Academy Awards, The Student Emmys, Cinequest, USA Film Festival, Cinanima, Angelus, Sedona, Ashland, BendFilm, and many others. Please join us in welcoming these three talented artists who have contributed so much to the fine art of anthropomorphics!
