Fur and Loathing In Pittsburgh (or: How I Learned To Love Getting Bombed)

I'm over a year late on this, but I want to thank Kage and the rest of the gang for throwing an excellent shindig back in 2006.

It was my first furry convention, and it couldn't have happened under circumstances more fun; myself and a friend of mine didn't actually decide to go until Wednesday the 14th. The evening of the 15th, the friend of mine and one of his friends and I piled into my PT Cruiser, stopped at Wal-Mart to get tea shades, hats, Acapulco shirts, and a tape player, then drove 14 hours through the night to get to Anthrocon '06. No idea where we'd be staying, what we'd be eating, just that we were going to Anthrocon.

It was a blast.

Thank you, Sam Conway and crew, for, providing the highlight of 2006 for me. I plan to do the same next year!
