I reaaalllyy would like to go to anthrocon 2008 but I have hotel room problem. The friends I was going to go with... they... their not making it. My Scotland friend lacks the money, and my Washington state friend isn't old enough yet. Its just me now... -Droops ears- Now to my beautiful point! Is there any friendly accepting fur out there that wouldn't mind sharing a room? I don't drink, I don't smoke, but I am shy as all hell. That does eventually change though an I will talk when talked too. I also have the money to help you pay my half of the room and what not. I'm a nice kitty when I want to be, murr... If you would like to get to know me first, just drop me an email, or even IM me. I'm less shy on the internet. -Callie the Calico |

hey I am thinking about attending this year, so are you going to fursuit around, or just go in your skin, not that it matters because sharing a room with a fursuiter would be awesome, anyway how old are you and would ya mind sleeping in the same room as a fox............lol

Meh... still gonna answer one of your questions. I'd be going to the con in a half suit most likely. Just having shipping problems at the moment with the suit.

Oh, I didn't even know that you make an area for that. I'm sorry Giza. I would have waited if I knew. =^.^=;

No problem. As we like to say in the programming industry, "disk space is cheap"!

keep in mind that its a lot easier than you think to get a room to sleep in at the con, so dont worry about it. Some people, like myself, even arrange rooms for people who simply dont want the hassle of doing it themselves. Finding enough people to fill the room can be tough, so dont be afraid to skim over lots of offers if you dont think you can do it on your own and want someone else to handle it.

Oh I can handle it. I just really do not feel like being alone at my first con. My mood drops like a rock into a shadowy hole of dispare when I'm alone. I'm shy as all hell when its just me. Long long story on all this crap and how I got like this and blah blah blah blah....

Now see, I'm the exact opposite! I'm never shy when I'm alone! All by myself, I can talk to anyone! I talk to people even when there's no one else in the room!

Uhm... lol? >_>

Your lucky that you can be like that. I kinda shy away to the shadows and watch everyone. Its all thanks to my past but whatever. -shrug-

permalinkBeing shy is nothing to be ashamed of, as we've probably all been shy once in our life. The interesting thing is that you'd be amazed at what will pull you out of your shyness and open up to people. Whether it'd be a hobby or age. But, a piece of advice: don't use it as a crutch. And, you'll do just fine.

Well, bear in mind that we tend to book our DJ's well in advance. You'd need to send a demo disk to our Dance Coordinator ahead of time.
(Also, don't forget that you'll need parental permission to attend if you are under 18. We'll have the forms available shortly. If your parents are willing to let you travel overseas unescorted and you are under 18, well...let's hear it for Cool Furry Parents!)
