Alright, this will also be my first convention. I will be in a fursuit (hopefully if I finish her in time, which I should) but I was wondering if there is little children in which will attend the convention?
I watch the videos on convention and they're so adorable, but my fear of not paying attention for a split second and stepping on them is in concern. Hehe.

I'm sure there are little kids there--but if you're in suit I've heard it's good to have a guide or spotter to help you watch out for people (especially little ones unseen). But I bet they'll love all the giant furry animals running around.

I've wondered about that, too, however having a spotter will help. And, if you want to be on the safe side, you can walk a tad slower than usual and get a good view of the field ahead of you to see if any youngin's are meandering about.

My 11 year old (who is now a fursuiter herself) was taught VERY early that the suiters couldn't see very well and to give them a wide berth.

From a security POV, you should always be aware of your limitations as a fursuiter, limited vision, mobility. Be aware of your extremities, Watch Your Tail! If you are particularly limited on vision, having a spotter is a great thing (also FUN, good way to get closer to someone).

You'll have more worries running into other furs who are not paying attention, particularly taking pictures of others in suits.

We on the security crew usually bring a few kids under six. We caution them and watch them as much as we can about being careful around the fursuiters, but hey, they're under six. Enthusiasm gets the best of them. Nonetheless, between the furries being careful and the watchful eyes of parents, it seems to all work out.

In the past they've seemed to have the same intrinsic sense of how to to have fun and still not get stepped on that you see in barn cats.

Kudos to our small ones (hatchlings, fledglings, kits, pups, whatever) and their wise parents/guardians for that.
