I ask this cause I am stil experiencing (at random moments) Post Con Depression. Is anyone else feeling even small hints of it still? Or am I a loner in this area?

Ditto. Dependably, about 6 dreams of mine a year involve Anthrocon, and at least 3 occur in June each year.

They often feature me wandering about the convention, not knowing where anything is, not being able to find registration, and staring at unfamiliar architecture.

It's a lot like the real con that way.

Every once in a while I will see something that will remind me of a convention I attended, and I will have a PCD relapse. This usually leads to a lot of frantic planning for next years convention. I suppose in some ways PCD is like acid. Eventually you are going to have a flashback. *laughs*

So, I take it that PCD could be referred to as both Post-Con Depression *and* Pre-Con Depression?

"Man, only 350 days to go until the next AC, I have to get prepared!" is what you feel. XD

No, more of "Only X Amount of days left until AC 08? That means I have only X-10 amount of days to buy the Sim and reconstruct the DLCC and the Westin Inn! I'm never going to get it done in time! Noooo! XO"

I hear that some furs battle con depression by con-hopping.

That can get a little expensive. o_o

Eurofurence, Confurence, Further Confusion, Unifurse, Midwest Fur Fest, Fur Fright... Lord, there's a tonne of them. @_X (I want to visit them all!)

You have no idea how far I go in terms of getting prepared in advance. Litterally, the day after the con, I emailed all the people on a list I had prepared and asked them if they wanted to room with me for 2008. Most of them just looked at me like I was nuts. XD

but, getting ready early has its advantages. It roots out most of the serious issues and makes things easier to manage come time for the con.

Mine tends to go away within 1-2 weeks because that's when I begin floating plans
to attend the next AC. I check in with people who are considering going, and
answer the same 5-6 questions over and over, and so on. As a Panelist, it's never
to early to begin work on your presentation. (And since I run the LARP, I have
a rough plot for the next 2-3 AnthroCon episodes.)

I rarely get PCD but I also travel with furries when I go to cons. I think having furries on the trip home allows me to decompress gradually. Over the last year the furries in my area (NE Ohio) have become more organized too. I think having something to come home to has helped alot also.

In all honesty, I think I don't suffer Post Con depression. For some reason I usually just feel really good about all the awesome things experienced at Anthrocon, and a genuine excitement for the next time I will be able to do so. Though I suppose always having something to do helps out with keeping myself out of PCD, but it could be that I'm always having fun. Though after Anthrocon, I'll be going to the Sterling Renaissance Faire again. Though as I remember the last time i was there, a few medevil fursuiters were walking around, which in it's own way brought back warm fuzzy memories of Pittsburg (not too much of Philly though Pittsburg is SO much cleaner).

PCD, for me, usually starts to hit minor on Sunday afternoon at the Con, when I see people with their luggage walking out the door. Then pretty heavy Sunday night, usually I can't sleep. Medium on Monday, and back to normal by Wednesday. I can't say it completely goes away, but I can say it gets easier every year.

It helps that I have awesome roommates for the con now, and a loved one who knows what I'm going through.
