Hello thar! I'm Detrus, I'll be attending AC next year, and I would like to know some of you fine folks before I get there. I've got a pretty detailed bio over on my profile page, but for those who don't wanna travel over there just yet, I'll outline it for you. I like movies, music, and books. I work constantly. I write poetry. I like honest opinions on it, not thoughtless pats on the back (honest pats on the back are fine though). And I'm 17, I'll be 18 when AC rolls around, though. Okay, so that's almost as long as my bio. Anyway, my contact info is on my user page. So, if you want to chat IM me, or if you want to spam my myspace page, I put that there too. Whatever keeps us entertained. Oh, and by chat, I mean talk, not RP. Not because I don't like RP, but because I'm terrible at it. EDIT: How did I forget to mention that I'm a husky? You'd think that would've been first. |

Hiya! I went over and browsed your FA account a little. I love your writing. I read over the bios for Rupert and Genevieve. They're very well written. I'll start reading the comic before the day's done. Also, Shakespeare is awesome, I wish more people quoted him.

Thankies! The comic is slow going at the moment, due to my schooling and the artist (my boy's) work schedule. Soon as the semester breaks, I'll be starting not only more scripting...but also more back stories and histories! Thanks again for checking it out! ^__^

Hello Detrus-Snowblind, how are you. I like movies, music and books. Stephen King is my favorite author. The Lion King is my favorite movie(saw it ten times in the theater), and I like just about anything in music. Glad to meet you. By the way I'm a wolf.-Raider.

I'm doing well, how about yourself? Stephen King is my second favorite author, my favorite is Kurt Vonnegut. The Lion King is amazing (I wish I could have seen it in a theater). And I'm glad to meet you as well.

I'm a fan of The Lion King, too. I didn't see it in the theatre, but later got to see it on video. From there, things went downhill quickly and I ended up finding the furry fandom through it.
I got to make up for not seeing the movie during its initial theater run by seeing it when it was re-released on IMAX. Twice.

permalinkI remember watching it in the theater when it came out (I was youngish...twelve I think...) and being pretty much in total awe the entire time. Loved it so hard. Probably cried during some of it. heh
I can't imagine getting to see it on IMAX though! That must have been incredible; I hope I get to see it on IMAX too some day. I did get to see one of the Harry Potter movies and one of the Matrix movies on IMAX; that was fun. Not as good as Lion King though!

I also have it on good authority that one of the animators who worked on The Lion King often attends Anthrocon, so if you're good, you may get to meet him.

"King of the Jungle," Disney's first concept name for the movie, dates all the way back to 1993. I have pictures of their first storyboards and first designs for Simba. You'd swear that he looked like a tiger cub without stripes.
It was later re-dubbed "The Lion King," and made it to theatres in 1994, when I first saw it. I saw The Lion King for the first time in Albert Lea, my home city.
To this day I get a little... emotional... over the movie. It was so well done, and everyone was so fitting of their roles as voice actors.
I might be a little biased about it, but I have reason to be. ^^

Hello there, Fox from finland greeting you!
I read a lot too, though much lighter literacy, favourite writer would be Terry Pratchett
And hey, if you want to say "hi" personally, you'll most likely spot me easily.
First check a mohawk from the crowd (a real one, sides bald or short), then check jacket/shirt and pants, jacket patched up with band logos and shirt propably spray painted, jeans torn. You'll find me ^^
