It seems that a certain someone dug up some archive footage of our esteemed Chairman from about 1995 or so:

Wow. He sure does look... different... back then.

What's very very scary is that now that my brother has shaved off his mustache, he looks just like you did back then... O_o

Way way back then when you weren't old. >;}

That is very funny! Is that really Uncle Kage though? Because that guy in the video has *so much hair*, comparatively speaking.

*chuckles*

IIRC, that first happened when Kage and one other board member whose name i never caught promised that if the auction earned more than a certain fairly high number, others would be allowed to shave their heads. The celebratory haircut was performed during closing ceremonies, amid much cheering.

After that, i think Kage just came to like having his hair mowed down to a tasteful peachfuzz.

After I had the mohawk shorn down flat, I went to a restaurant and ordered wine, and got carded. At my age, that has a signficiant impact on the psyche!

Besides, I like not having to worry about combing it.

I've seen that clip posted online several years ago. I think it also pops up
on the (as far as I know, out of print) Tell Us A Story Uncle Kage.

(Here's a clip from that; the bit above appears about 1:22 in)

Wow. Remember back then Kage when you were young, good looking, and all the ladies had their eyes on you because you have not got your first winkle yet? ;P

I remember being young. The rest of it was too long ago for me to recall.
