Any interest in making a furry movie?
|
Anyone who's acctually interested in a movie that takes place at AC/Pittsburgh? Anyway, here's the ideas. Give me suggestions/ideas When i've gotten enough ideas and stuff i will begin to write a script At AC, i will make take-outs for those interested in being actors The Filming will begin By the time when AC is over, the filming will be complete. After AC you'll have to give me 2-3 weeks to Edit the whole thing and put it on DVD and if it's possible, put on sale on AC's Con Store. THOUGH, everyone who were acting/helping to make this movie will have a free sample of it All this will come true if any of you are up for it. NOTE: I will not make a movie involving blood or explosions. 1. If fake-blood comes on a fursuit, the owner will be pissed and he's gonna have a hard time to get it away. |

Id be interested but only if it would not interfere with the day schedule or con operations.
Idea: (Scene Insert) Unclekage has been possessed into an evil devious prankster (Pictures his evil grin and Laugh “Moha har har har!) He plays pranks on Fursuiters and hides in the shadows and pounces on his victims. Knotting tails together and so forth. Fursuiters Revolt and hunt for him. They find him and give chase by 50 or so Fursuiters down the Fursuit parade upper landing hes jogging over exaggerates his running, kicking his legs higher and fast swoops with his arms, just a few feet from the stampeed. He later gets cornered and the barrage of fur charge at him. Ends up in
a big furpile, Unclekage is exercised and the evil is banished from him. End of Scene.
Or do it like In Dallas where he wakes up and it was all a dream, since he’s had some nightmares recently!
Just a quick suggestion but I think Unclekage should definitely play a part!
Given his busyness he probably won’t find the time.
See what he thinks though!

That'd be fun
The only trouble I can see is working around all the people there
Not everyone reads this site, so they may note know about it.

It won't be a problem with people around
, after all it is a con and it's just natural to have lots of people around

I actually did have an idea for something interesting based on current events in the anime "Bleach".
Needing a rich source of spirit energy to create the King's Key which he needs to invade the Spirit King's realm and kill him to rule all Spirit World, Aizen has sent Ulquiorra, the Arrancar, to scope out Anthrocon, as furries (obviously possessing both animal AND human spirits) have an above average spirit particle density.
And with 3,000 of them all in one place, it's be easy to harvest all the energy needed so Aizen can take one step closer to becoming kame! Oh noes!
After this serious introduction, it would quickly devolve into rather slapstick comedy, with the person dressed up as Ulquiorra encountering all manner of obstacles, including someone dressed as Anubis whom he believes to be the real thing (which makes him wonder if others aren't already targeting the furries to steal their souls!) and eventually giving up and declaring Karakura Town a much easier (and less confusing) target!
That's an idea I had from a discussion about "Fur Fright" this past Anthrocon. But alas, I don't have my Ulquiorra outfit yet. :/

I'm not a master at making movies, i don't think i would be able to make such special-effects. Sorry.

permalinkWhy not something easier like a romantic comedy? Doesn't need to involve anything sexual - just cute and funny. Maybe 2 friends that go to the con tegether (a straight guy and maybe a gay guy? Or a chick and her gay guy friend? ) and both of them end up finding a person that they really love. But of course - its hard to find out about some people when they're behind the suits - so that could lead to a lot of funny antics. Maybe have a very cute scene where someone gets asked out to the dance? Maybe a moonlit walk around the city? (Maybe a quick turn around like romeo and juliet?) and maybe the characters get "mairried" by Kage by the end? :3 could be funny to work with.

not to mention, sounds like a great idea. I'm in for small jobs, if you need help. Thing is I might be busy with my friends but gotta see, gotta see

permalinkmaybe like a shakespearian fur movie.
OH! how about something like 12th night? (the one where the girl - viola? dresses like a guy to get close to the duke because she loves him.) have one of the female characters act as a male fursuiter to try and get close to the guy she likes? there's lots of flexability for characters since you have costumes involved. :3 because even though it's a movie about furs - I don't think you should keep the actors in costume the whole thing....

I thought of something fun, dunno if you'll like it. A Human get's drunk.. falls asleep and wakes up as a furry (in a fursuit) and then crazy stuff happens after that.

hahaha, dude, if i'd had time, i could be a passoutee seeing i do a fair share of alcohol consuming. But anyway, the idea is awesome. and the thing should be made like, he didnt have any idea of furries before. He was just casually drinking on one of the local pubs and passes out near the Westin. Waking up there could be this kinda way too, furries dress him up as a fur as a prank, or were you thinking more like a fantasy approach?

*eyes wide open* You know - I just recently moved out of Burbank, California - lived next to a movie studio, surrounded by and constantly exposed to "The Industry".
Major blockbuster films have been sold and millions of dollars invested on a "pitch" no more detailed than what you just posted, above.
It's both exhilarating and scary to see it born like that - run with it!

You know, I've always thought of having a movie made based on my first trip to Anthrocon, which will be in June next year and two weeks after I graduate high school.
"Anthrcon: Based on a True Story" is what it would be called.

permalinkI admire your ambition but Anthrocon lasts only four days. The areas where you may want to shoot may be in use by others. Nearly everyone there is going to have a pretty full schedule, and when not doing something they will be resting up from it. This will make reshoots and rewrites nearly impossible. I dont know how you will deal with backround noise and lighting.
Projects like this are best done locally using a small crew and taking your time. That way you can experiment and if something doesnt work you can try something new. If you find something you like you can expand on it. Pace yourself, build a team and move forward.
My own experiences have taught me that everything takes longer than you think it will. There's always something you forgot, and the results always turn out different than your original idea. (Usually this is a good thing.)
Luck, love and lolipops
