We are pleased to announce that for the first time an Anthrocon’s 18 years, we’ll be live streaming our main events and our dances live online.
Be sure to catch 2-Grpyhon, the Dance Competition, all 3 nights of our dances, and tons of other content streamed in full HD.
Check out the full schedule here and watch the events at live.Anthrocon.org
Any questions? Feel free to reply to this thread.
**Please note we have made some changes to our stream schedule.
Will the Dance Competition Finals have the option for the audiance to live text in their vote?
Since the Dance Competition Finals will be live streamed does this mean anyone watching the stream can then inturn send in a text vote?
That would be a question for JD or Theome, who're organizing the Dance Comp Finals. Follow @JDPuppy or @Theome on twitter for more information. You can also check out the official thread for the dance compitition HERE
Will you guys be keeping this stuff archived online from now on as well or just during the event?
Things will be archived to YouTube (like with the 2012 events). And, assuming there are file mirrors available that can support high-bandwidth content, the show recordings may be available for offline viewing.
Everything will be posted on our Youtube Channel within a few days.
Some of the DJ sets from the dances might not make it up though due to Youtube's copyright restrictions.
Hey guys, just wanted to say how awesome the stream is! Especially SkyCam! More please and thank you =)
So... I saw a lot of you come through the airport this past week and I'm happy you all have found a welcoming home here in Pittsburgh. I won't be attending the con as I will be stuck at work all weekend. I just stopped by to say Hi and I'll see you all in a few days when you as you make your journies home Enjoy your time in Pittsburgh!! Live feed looks awesome!
May I just say a huge 'THANK YOU' to Anthrocon and the staffers for putting Anthrocon Live together? My SO & I just watched the opening ceremonies and are looking forward to the rest of the weekend feed schedule.
For those of us in the community who might not get to our first AC for another few years, AC Live is a great way to share in the fun. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
-Arlo & Liszt
All of the streaming and AV staff are happy the livestream is a success and we love to hear that people are enjoying our work. While it's not quite the same as being here in person, we try to give you the front row seat experience.
So I recorded some of the events to my computer, and I was wondering if was okay if I post them to my Youtube account. I didn't know if AC wanted to wait until the end of the convention for videos to be posted and wanted to check first. It would only be everything except for the dances posted.
Since we've worked out recording and uploading with our performers, we'd like to keep the videos on the official Youtube channel. They will be posted soon after the con in full HD with higher quality video and audio. We love that you're eager to get the videos out though and thank you for asking before posting.
Just sit tight and we'll get em out as soon as possible
Okay, thanks. My computer started acting screwy after I posted that, so even if I were to post them they would be awful quality. I'll just watch the events live, and leave the recording to the professionals.
Glad to hear this. Looking forward to seeing the masquerade skits this year, never get a chance to se them otherwise since I'm in the masquerade. Was upsetting last year because I was only able to find a few of the skits that were posted to youtube, have not seen the majority of them still because no one posted them.
Thank you all for putting the live stream together . :) I have but one suggestion for next your if you decide to stream live please include the fursuit parde on next years schedule . I'm sure many viwers feel the same way . .
Pawsome, wish you all well. Hope to see you next year.
Enjoy your live show at anthrocon from the beginning to end and also to my son Avalanche for the first time he going on the trip with people from all walk of live to be in Pittsburg.
