I have a double reserved at the Westin from Jun 25 (wednesday) to check out on the morning of Jun 30 (monday). The total is going to come to a total of 656 US Dollars for all five nights. The cost per person would be dependent on how many people end up in the room. I would consider no more than 4 people to the room (including myself). However, I would have no problem rooming with less should I find one or two really cool people to room with. Furthermore the price for your stay could be more-or-less depending on what kind of sleeping arrangements you would like (floor space versus bed space). Finally, I would prefer to find people who will be staying all five night so I wouldn't have to worry about finding people to fill a room for one night. Prices could be negotiable, just chat me up and tell me what your looking for and whatever situation financially you may be in and we might be able to work something out. To be honest, I'm more concerned with finding nice compatible people to stay with rather than finance (though I'm not interested in rooming with any moochers, thanks). As for myself. I'm a 22 year old male. This will be my first "real" con as well. I've been to a con before but I really just stopped in. Also, I plan to do some suiting, I should have a partial on the way so it might be cool to find a roomy who will also be in costume during their stay. I don't smoke but I really don't have an issue with smokers (cigarettes aren't allowed in the hotel anyway). I do plan to do some drinking but I have every intention of keeping my drinking in strict moderation and it would be nice to have a room-mate(s) who would share a drink with me (you don't have to join me of course). However, I would definitely prefer to not have any crazy drunken parties in the room and I'm not entirely sure how tolerant I will be of a room-mate who gets falling-down drunk. That kind of behavior is irresponsible and could put everyone's ability to enjoy themselves at risk. As far as room-rules go. This trip will be my first vacation in a LONG time and I really would like to get some sleep during my stay. I would like to say that from 2:00AM to 10:00AM we should keep the room in such conditions that everyone can get some sleep. I wouldn't go so far as to make a rule as such up front as I can be flexible and spontaneous as well, but a basic respect for people's sleep schedule among all of the room-mates would be appreciated. Cleanliness is also a must, especially around the bathing area. Age isn't a huge issue with me however I would ask that only persons of or above the age of 18 contact me about the room. If you are under the age of 21 please don't count on me to hook you up with alcohol, I really don't want to get busted for passing out booze to minors, thanks. I'd like to try and get to know my potential roomies as well as possible so that we can meet at AC as friends rather than strangers. |

I'm a 21 year old female looking for a roomshare. You sound just about what I am looking for!
I have no qualms about sharing a room with guys (I'm pretty much a tomboy anyway) as long as they don't try to crack onto me (please note, I do boxing, so I'm capable of looking after/defending myself) then I'm a very sociable person.
I don't smoke, I like to drink in moderation and since this is gonna be my first Con, I'd like to get some rest between the days so I can get the most out of it.
Fursuits don't freak me out and you are staying for the exact amount of time I plan to, so I'd be in for the full 5 nights. I also am NOT a moocher: I will pay my fair share of the accomadation.
Just a few things:
* I refuse outright to share a bed with a guy. This is non-negotiable.
* If I have to sleep on the floor, I'd I think it would be fair if I paid a little less than those sleeping in beds.
* Not a necessity, but does the room have a fridge? Just so I can store milk and stuff so I don't have to go out for every meal and breakfast.
* No sleeping in the nude. I'm not a prude, but I don't feel like getting up in the middle of the night to get a nasty surprise.

Well, I explained this to Metal Woof briefly yesterday and apologised repeativly, but I'm withdrawling my request to roomshare.

To reassure my parents and give them piece of mind (and to avoid the expected tantrums, lectures and dramas)I'm getting a single room for just myself.
This arragement is mainly to calm my Mum down, who thinks that every single person on the internet is out to rape, kidnap and/or kill me [rolls eyes]. By doing this, I hope to be able to get onto the plane without her clinging to my leg
Though I would like to add that Metal Woof is a very funny and sincerely nice guy and I hope that he finds some good room mates. HINT HINT PEOPLES!!!!
And Woof? I'm still holding you to that drink at the Con.

So thats the warm and fuzzy feeling that my I've heard so much about.
May I add that I'm totally bummed that we wont be rooming together. You seem like an absolute delight to be around. =3 You still haven't sent me anything to read, you being a writer and all that. Share already!
As for the rest of you. I'd like to mention that even though there have already been several replies to my original post I still have not made any official arrangements to room with anyone yet so don't hesitate to contact me. That's right, I'm still totally unbooked. What an opportunity!
Also, if anyone comes across this post who might be interested in only splitting the room two ways (due to concerns about space and overcrowding) just ask. I have the money to split the room 50/50 with someone (as long as I don't have four people in the room by the time you ask).
Finally, during the week I'm usually off-line relatively early since I work early in the morning. I recommend sending an email to "violentk321(at)comcast(dot)net".
