I have a Hansa lion about 3 1/2 feet long, not including the tail! For all those who know the Hansa brand, they make some of the most beautifully detailed stuffed animals anywhere. It is the centerpiece of my collection! And likelt to be the best I can get until Hansa decides to outdo themselves with a new model. I haven't seen another one that can compare. This is the lion: Hansa Lion |

That is a beautiful lion. I have a few stuffed wolves in my collection, do you know if they make wolves?

Certainly beautiful, but the muzzle seems a bit elongated. I think it's still worth the money, though.
The blonde mane in the wild would indicate a young lion.

Or a white lion, or a lion with a lower than average testosterone level, or a lion with a downregulated pigment gene, or... dun get me started on potential modes of inheritance!
I've seen a number of lions that don't have the black mane, and some subgroups never have black mane hair, while others almost always do.
It's all about population genetics. :3
Each of the Hansa lions' faces is slightly different, since they're hand-made and that is the area that tends to be the toughest to represent accurately with plush. The muzzle on mine is actually a bit narrow, but the right length. It needs to be a bit broader, with a fuller chin, then it'd look quite natural.
But yes, unless you're willing to pay thousands for a full-size, individually-commissioned lion, this is the best that can be found. I know from years ago, I heard the price of a full-size perfect lion model: $5,000!

My lion might be making the trip to Anthrocon with me.
Since I'll be trying to drum up attention for my animation company, I have a feeling that a nearly 4-foot-long, beautifully detailed plush lion from one of the world's best plush toy makers will have the neccesary massive lines formed in no time. >:}
Oh, and people can hug him! For a donation... United Paws Animations, Inc., is 501(c)3, after all. >;3
Let me see.. what questions might this bring up. Would I sell it? Why sure! For $5,000!! As president of the company, I'm an evil, greedy, corporate-type now, ever seeking revenue! Not only that, but I'm also the marketing director, and Human Resources! I'm Dilbert's boss, Catbert, and Dogbert all rolled into one terrifying package of pure capitalist malevolence! >:D
