Not sure if I should post this hear. If it needs moved then pleas fell free to move it.

But my question is.

I am looking for pointers in how to get my endurance up. So that I don't have the urge to keep taking the head off along with everything els? I know it is best to take brakes.. But I guess I just don't want to seem like such a noob at it is all I am asking.

I mean I am use to doing manual labor, Just looking for some pointers.

I don't have fursuiting experience, but as far as general experience goes, I can suggest that you start walking 15 minutes a day, and work up from there.

If you feel masochistic, once you've hit 30 minutes a day of walking, you could try 1 pound ankle weights.

For we talk for 15 minutes then we go to walking for 30 minutes and ankle weights? What does talking have to do with this giza? (has to be a smart***)

If possible, hit up a gym of sorts and work on a stair machine or a bike on top of the great suggestion made by giza.

With AC being so sprawlingly awesome, it's a really good idea to build up endurance. I'm hoping to have my partial done for AC, so I'll be working on it too.

Good luck!

Also one thing to keep in mind, battery powered fans are god in the form of a machine to blow air against your face. They'll help you keep cool if your fursuit is one to be extremely hot to wear for a point of time, also for the fact that since this will be in the summer more towards like, the air conditioning is on.

Go for walks in sweatpants and a long sleeve sweatshirt with a ballcap on. These will keep you pretty warm Eye-wink

Aside from that, its not necissary to run around for hours at a time in fursuit. I only go out for about 20 minutes in suit, and spend 10 in the headless lounge, go out for 20 in suit, 10 in headless lounge, and so forth. Drink lots of water, and don't eat within 2 hours of suiting or you'll feel sick. Don't exert yourself unless you're outside in COOL weather(like at night). If you think you're getting too hot, don't be afraid to pop the head off immediately. OH NO FURRIES!? Shocked YOURE DESTROYING TEH ILLUSION!? OMG THER EWAS A PERSON IN THERE.. no but seriously, if you're getting too hot- pretty much everyone is over the age of 12 and is a furry so they all know theres a person in there. Its better for you to get a few dirty looks than to pass out :3
Most importantly, wear an underlayer to keep yourself cool. Get a spandex balaclava with eyes and mouth holes and a diveskin, these will keep sweat from comin in contact with your fursuit and getting absorbed which will A) Help keep you cool because thes weat is evaporating on you where its supposed to and B_ Prevent your fursuit from getting stinky.

Thanks for the tip. But I'm really not going to have all of this. The one I will have is only a parshall. So I woun't get hot as fast as most. I was more or less just worried about the stuff with the head. mainly sense I never had a head on before.

It's what I call a ninja mask... You can use them to make your furry head with. Just one of the easiest technique to use.

Baclava is a type of food.

It's not veg! It's a pastry that comes from the Middle East. It's flaky and nutty and drenched in honey...

Anyone have a really awesome recipe for the flaky treat? I'm hoping to find an awesome one rather than just a generic one...

I've seen lots of suiters who will wear spandex bodysuits, and sometimes diving suits.

Takala is one that will wear a diveskin. I believe that Sinatra does, too. It helps preserve the fursuit.

You have no idea on how much you sweat after you take off your fursuit head, even after only a half hour.

When MC's commission comes, I'm getting a diveskin. I think that it really helps a lot.

Got the athletic suit's like bikers wear, they seem to be best and a big thing is a fan for the mask if you have the room put one someplace in the front of the mask and one at the back I plan to do that with mine as it is large enough to accommodate them, for " use your own eyes " masks id recommend some type of breathable fabric or plastic as a base for the fur. for foam masks make several ventilation holes in the foam it will be covered and no one will see it anyway. As for endurance walking and exercises are best as well as daily wearings of the suit to get comfortable in it.

personaly i prefer diving suits, i worked with 7mm neopren dive suits (cold water) in tropical water (zoo aquarium) and over it i worn some normal clothes.

you sweat, but clothes stay mostly clean, it doesnt leak that much.
also one of my friends use dive suit. we both think its the best.

i just have to wait for when my dive suit from the zoo gets send to me, they have a nasty habit not sending me my diving suit (they want it as reserve suit)
