I've noticed on some videos that there are fursuiters that walk around with ID badges with their characters face and name on them, do you custom make those or do they give you an ID badge with your name on it and then you add a picture or something to it.

Anthrocon itself does not make those. There are many dealers who will be willing to, though.

The official Anthrocon membership badge is laminated plastic, the same size as a credit card.

"con badges" that are made by artists can be any size you want. Anthrocon sells cardstock and badge holders at its con store. Those are 3 inches by 4 inches.

It's not just the fursuiters! Most attendees will have one or multiple badges of their character or characters, in addition to the Membership Badge you'll get at registration. They're a fun thing to have.

http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/Con_badge has an excellent explantion of the matter. The usual current price for a drawn, colored convention badge is $20-40 depending upon the skill and reputation of the artist. Folks in the Dealer's Room and Artist's Alley will usually post those rates, and can usually draw them at the convention for you.

And its a REALLY GOOD IDEA to get one early in the con, as the better artists get booked up pretty quick, especially if you want it before the end of the con!
