Ok, does Anthrocon ever sell out of tickets to go to the convention because, If I'm planning to persay save money up until maybe april or may to buy my ticket to get into the convention, would that be a problem?
(was thinking on getting the sponsorship, MAYBE the supersponsorship... depends on how much money I'll have by then)

Anthrocon does not have a Membership Cap, so no we wont sell out of tickets, you can wait and register on-site if you so choose, though pre-reg will get you in a shorter line to get your badge.

What Tora said.

Also, something to keep in mind is that Sponsors and Supersponsors have their own (shorter) lines. Smiling

Note there is a significant difference between "shorter" and "faster". I remember back in 2005, the regular registration line was huge, and my sponsor line was quite small. My group of friends parted ways for their respected lines, and I wasn't even halfway through my line by the time they got through regular reg and came back upstairs to check up on me :3

Now in 2006 that wasn't a problem because I got in line *very* early. And in 2007 I was doing volunteer work for badge pick-up so I didn't even have to worry about it. So I don't know how the lines have been going recently.

The pre-registration line is MUCH faster until Friday afternoon, I think.

I pre-registered last year, and got my badge in one minute.
The previous year, I was on line about 40 minutes.

According to the FAQ:

Quote:
Anthrocon allows you to register before the convention begins, skipping the longer lines associated with registering at the door (not to mention that membership purchased at the door is $50). We encourage you to do this; there is a discount rate for buying your membership early and it helps the convention to flow more smoothly.

As listed below, Attending membership is $40 until February 1, 2008. Thereafter, the rate will be $45 until June 6, 2008, when pre-registration will close. Attending registration will cost $50 at the door.

After pre-registration, you get on the regular line.

If you'll be doing Sponsor or Supersponsor, pre-registration is the same cost anytime. That said, the earlier the better, to make sure we have paperwork mailed to you and correct entry into the system.

2005 was... interesting. New hotel, new logistics, new difficulties. 2006, somewhat the same.

In 2007 we rather pefected our divide-and-conquer line handling, and we hope that 2008 will be the same, to keep all lines as short as possible- but especially those of Sponsors and supersponsors, who we value highly.
