Ill start by saying that I cant guarantee that if you need a ride, we can even have room for you, let alone be able to stop and pick you up, so if you do need a ride, you should make a good effort to describe where exactly you are and how much stuff you will be bringing. Be sure to get ahold of me LONG in advance. With that being said, ill move immediately into our plans for the convoy. It leaves Wednesday morning at 5 AM from the following address, which happens to be a Wendy's restaurant. 2060 MOGADORE ROAD The plan is to meet up at the wendy's about 4:30 AM, leave at 5(or after everyone gets there) and drive to the con. We leave at such an early hour to avoid the morning rush hour that will be going on in the city about 8-9AM. Plus, there will be little traffic along the way, so keeping track of all vehicles will be easy. We plan to drive for an hour, then stop for a quick 10-15 min break for some food and drinks(likely caffeine The convoy is recommended for all people driving from the Akron and surrounding area. Anyone more than a half hour drive east of the wendy's is advised to plan to catch our convoy along the way, though you are free to join us at the planned meeting location Anyone more than an hour east of Akron should probably just drive themselves as it would be pointless for them to really try to meet up with my group unless you happen to live directly along our route(which should be 76 east, then 79 south, then 279 south directly into the city. I havent checked the AAA directions or what my GPS will say, so I dont have an exact confirmation if thats our path, but it cant be that far off. be sure to get ahold of me if you want to know for sure. I have FRS walkie talkies to keep everyone in contact(channel 8 ) and also I have the cell numbers to everyone who is currently in the convoy. If you are along the way, and want to join up but you are not already in the plans, contact me via the following email and we can arrange a trade of contact info(cell numbers and such) I drive a white Geo prism with lots of blue lights on it so in the middle of the night, you should be able to find me easily. Not to mention there will be about 2 or 3 other vehicles following me relatively closely. If you dont know what a 97 Geo Prizm looks like, here is a photo of such a vehicle. Its obviously not mine, and its blue, but im sure you can imagine this vehicle as a white car. Its not really a fancy car, but it runs, so im happy with it. In our group, we should have two cars and one truck, possibly a third car if the person plans on coming wednesday. This means there might be room for passengers and luggage depending on how much stuff gets brought. Most of our details were worked out a week ago, but a lot of people will likely forget how we had it planned over the course of the next few months.

rar, ok, well the plan is to meet up at 4-4:30 AM wednesday morning, so if you arrive around then, that would be cool. I get up before 4AM to drive out to my buddy's house and rouse him from his sleep to head out to the meet location. Him and his gf will be driving our truck, which holds all our luggage. We leave at 5AM or after everyone gets there that is interested.
The parking plan is to go to the $5 parking down the road after driving straight to the hotel, dropping off most our passengers and our luggage in the hotel and then moving straight over to the lot. We walk back to the hotel and then take our luggage up to our rooms.
as for room space, You will have to email me privately about that. I have potential space, but thats only because its in question right now. In other words, I have people who confirmed they wanted the space but "didnt think they can be able to make it to AC this year" So I estimate that Ill have a few cancellations.
In the mean time, I DO have room on Wednesday. This is a definite fact as Ive already talked to everyone on my reservation list and Nobody else has shown interest in coming Wednesday. So if you need space Wednesday night, I can provide that quite easily. I got a few spots open amidst the few different rooms that I reserved for people. Ill need about $20 a person for that night, but thats a decent rate given the alternative is sleeping in your car or not sleeping at all. Im sure the hotel would frown on folks sleeping in the lobby. Im sure I have at least 4 spots open amidst all of those rooms, so feel free to contact me if you need space wednesday night.

not trying to revive the thread or anything, but I just wanted to add a small change of plans. We plan to use GRMS walkies instead of the normal FRS walkies. They are a wee bit more expensive than FRS, but definitely more powerful. Channel has also been changed to channel 10.
