Hey, I plan on going to Anthrocon, and am wondering if there's a place where fellow con-goers share their homemade music ^^ I'd really love to listen to other people's creations and perhaps trade Cd's. Also, I was wondering if we can sell CD's. A few fellow artists from Furaffinity said they would like to buy my Cd's Thanks. |

Hmm. I don't think we've ever gotten that request before.
If you wanted to give away CDs to random folks, I don't think there would be any problems with that. Same thing if you wanted to set some out on our Freebie Table.
As far as sales go, if the music is your creation, I believe it would qualify as art and could be sold in Artists' Alley.

Just to verify what Giza said, CD's of music that is your own creation may indeed be sold in Artists Alley

In fact, i believe they were one year, many years ago, the same year someone created a fursuit for kage's love child.
But i could be confused. It was several years ago, after all...

Should you like to host a panel for musicians to listen to one another's music...I think we could accomodate a requset like that.
If you want to host such a panel, please feel free to drop me a note at and we can discuss.

Depending on what kinda music it is/mastering quality/etcetera, I might be willing to help you out and play it at the dance? I can fix the master too if there's issues with it, but if you want to get in touch I can take it into consideration, other DJs may be willing to do the same. Always fun to play something from the community.

Interesting. Well, I don't know about the original poster, but I don't exactly do dance music. That said there is at least one track on every album with a solid rock beat to it, although these are not necessarily the furry-type songs.
If you're actively looking for music from the community, MP3s of my stuff are available here, which you are welcome to check out: http://dougtheeagle.com/discog.htm
Offhand, possibly-danceable songs include 'Return to Babel' on the first album, 'The Falcon's Tale' on the second, 'Zoocity' on the third, and 'Operation Wendigo' and maybe 'Princes of the Dreams' on the 2008 album.
Either way, this thread has convinced me that it could be worth doing a small run of CDs to leave on the freebie table.

I'm gonna need something more dance-oriented, if you want me to work something in that's not we can talk about a remix, but I do shoot for a particular sound.

Get in touch with me. AIM can work. Just send me messages and be like bitch, take some internets from me. I'll say something along the lines of, 'wtf, who are you, sod off!' and then you can remind me of this conversation and I'll apologize profusely.
