permalinkI know last year, there were Rage CCG games in the table games room.
I suppose there will be some again this year.
I don't know if there will be impromptu games starting up.
I DO know that, if you're inclined, people can just show up and start
playing. I attended a SF convention that was SUPPOSED to demonstrate
Chez Geek. The cards were all there-but no demonstrator.
However, a number of us nightowls showed up, and one was a regular
player. So, with a small explanation from him, and a slow beginning,
we got to playing. No official oversight, but who cares?
We played a game, we had some fun, and then they shut the room down
before we finished. So, in theory, we ALL won.
I also know that, if you're really, really interested, you can bring
several decks to AC, and notify the Programming dept that you want
to do hold a demonstration and game at AC in the table games room.
So long as you provide all materials (all cards, all rules),
they will almost certainly approve it, add it to the schedule,
and add it to the PRINTED schedule-which means people will see it
printed and show up for it, like we did for the Rage CCG.
Keep in mind, of course, that this would move you from Player to
Then again, I'm a GM from way back,
GameMaster, which will be a different experience-which you might
actually enjoy MORE!
to the 1st Edition AD&D, and attempted to keep various campaigns
of Star Wars, Toon, Mekton, and some LARPs afloat down the years.
Running a game is rewarding in its own way.
