R rated events

Let me play the devil's advocate (I'm a demon so its easy) and ask why, given the mostly 18 and up age of AC goers, that we don't have more R rated events. I'm not talking sex shows, I'm talking about comedy and adult humor. 2 did a 18+ comedy show if I remember right and no one was maimed (physically) and the cops were not involved. So can we get a few more pannels or event at night that are 18+? Yes, I know some people might tend to get carried away at such a thing... Thats why there has to be guide lines in place. |

Simple, come up with some. The reason that there isn't more is that no one's step forward to suggest or more to the point, host an event.
What other 18+ programming would you like to see?

permalinkHow about a 18+ Masquerade? usual thing just with no limits on language. Or even throw in a couple racey skits.
Maybe a pannel on adult themed flash animations, I know I've seen enough of them.
basicly any of the normal events and pannels without the limit on content and language. So maybe we have a anatomy drawing work shop with a nude model, some thing like that.
I just want to throw some ideas out there but I keep getting this can-of-worms vibe, it'd be nice to have some thing but without giving our con more of a rap then the journalists lay on us already.

It's certai9nly been done in the past, with great results. I didn't see it on last year's schedule, but it may be that the performers from previous years just had too many other things to organize. Or it could be that KP had a bunch of other exciting things to schedule, and couldn't quite find room for that panel that particular year. Or it could be so9mething else entirely.
I do hope it reappears this year, tho. I'm too shy and slow-witted to improvise myself, but i had a great time watching in '06.

permalinkIf there is interest, we could open the puppetorium on Friday night to an "open-mike" puppet show. The puppet stage and sound system are available. I can even provide the puppets, the music, and some props.
