New Minnesota Fur and Travel plans

While not new to the Anthrocon I was living in Michigan when I attended previous 'Cons, so I was close enough to drive up and down in a day, less with the move to Pittsburgh.

However the economy of Michigan forced me to flee the state for work, the lack of which kept me from at least two Cons. I took a job in Minneapolis, MN, which puts Pittsburgh at 870 miles away.

So I'm asking for advice on the best methods to get from here to there as well as if any other furs from my new area traveling to sing out, to see if our plans coincide so we might meet on the way if possible.

Flying seems to top the list of options, even in groups nearly 900 miles is 12+ hours on the road. Trains, well that is 17 hours, 20+ with the layover in Chicago. Anyone doing either of those, or is everyone flying? Advices on which airlines to take for the best deals in that case?
